  • is it good for overclock a amd six core?

  • @brian213100 It would have enough cooling for one but I am not sure if it has the right mounts with it. Is that a AM3 or AM3+? This only comes with mounts for the AM3.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties it's a am3+ but can't you do it on am3+. i tought it has the same mount

  • @brian213100 Sorry Brian I think you are right. When the AM3 was first coming out there was talk about the mount being different but I just did some research on it and as far as I can tell it is the same as the AM3 so it should work just fine.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties ok thanks for searching. and for fast awnser. i hope i can ask you other things as i need to now something thanks.

  • @brian213100 Your welcome. Feel free to ask anything that you need I will try to answer it to the best of my ability :-)

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties ok thanks

  • its "moo-gen", not "moo-jen" or "mew-jen"

  • @aerozg Thank you . I have struggled a bit on its name. I think I have called it 3 different things on different videos. :-)

  • My I5 2500K (Stock clocks) doesn't get higher temps then 44 celcius under full load! I think that is pretty amazing!

  • @TheBardonator That is very good temps. Right where I like to see them.

  • @SamGuitar96 hab dir auf deinem profil geantwortet

  • @SamGuitar96 oke thanks

  • Overclocking ist bei spielen eigentlich nur notwendig, wenn du mehrere grafikkarten drinnen hast und diese nicht voll ausgelastet werden können, weil die cpu zu schwach ist.

  • @SamGuitar96 also 20 fps mal sicher nicht. Bei spielen, in denen die cpu ziemlich gefordert wird, max 5 fps pro zusätzlichen Ghz denk ich, aber hab auf die schnelle jetzt auch keine vergleichs benchmarks gefunden. Is also eher so ne spielerei.

  • Is it good for an i7 2600k?

  • @trachdax Yes it would work great on a i7-2600k

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties oke thanks

  • @SamGuitar96 alright thanks :)

i got the ekl alpenföhn brocken insted...cant hear it out of the case.

    ...haha me neither

  • hi

would you recommend me getting this for my i5 2500 and a p8h67.

i cant overclock much but i want temps to be less than 60° C.

or would a arctic cooling freezer 13 pro do the job too?

    thnx 4 advise

  • @madsnowman180 This cooler would work great for that setup. I have not had a chance to try the freezer 13 but it seems like a good cooler also. To be honest I have a whole closet full of coolers that I have tested and bench marked and this one really stands out from the pack. There are some that perform better but are much more money. I use this one on my test bench every day because I like it that much.

  • dude, your camera need some anti vibration :P

  • @Prowler1 That was my old camera. All my newer videos are shot in HD

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Think this would work on an AM3+ Motherboard (The Sabertooth 990FX)?

  • @SkildEnough As far as I know it will not the older style AM2 AM2+ AM3 used a 0.45mm bolt pattern the AM3+ uses 0.51MM. I just sent a email to Scythe to see if they are going to release a bracket to work with it. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Alright, thanks for the feedback =).

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Did you lap the CPU in that video? In my opinion, the risk and effort is not worth the temperature drop. I lapped my 2nd CPU, and I noticed a 4-6 degree difference, and it took me a very long time. What are your experiences with this slightly risky technique??

  • @ImmoSci You are right for most people it is not worth the effort. But for people doing extreme overclocking that every degree matters it can make the difference. Also for people that are worried about ruining their cpu they should not do it. It would be easier to just get a better cooler.

To answer your question yes this cpu was lapped. I only do it on older cpu`s that I am not too worried about. The first one I did took me 8 hours. Now I can do one in about 30 minutes :-)

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Thanks for the info! It's always nice to hear some good feedback!

  • @ImmoSci You are very welcome. Always glad to help.

  • Do you remember how loud the fan was? Not talking about the DB(a) levels, just was it loud or quiet?

  • @Multip3N It was not very loud at all even on the highest setting.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Alright, thanks for the fast response. I'm going to go with this one then.

  • @Multip3N You are welcome. I think you will really enjoy it. It really is a very good cooler.

  • Oh by the way...! Is the included thermal paste any good? Or would you suggest getting something else instead?

  • @Zaviks It is not too bad. But I think you could see about a 5% improvement in temperatures buy using something like AS5 or Tuniq tx4 or the Scythe "Thermal Elixer" Thermal Grease.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Thank you for your answer. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about AS5, so i think i will give it a try.. although 5% isnt much.. but in the end it still counts, hehe :)

  • @Zaviks No problem at all. If you intend to overclock then every degree counts and 5% can make all the difference. Either way if you use the supplied paste or go with the AS5 I am sure you are going to love the cooler.

  • Very nice review.. I have been looking for a good cooler that doesnt take up all the space around the CPU *cough* Noctua 'cough*... Ive been thinkinh much about Mugen 3, and i think your vid helped me make up my mind.. I've just ordered it, and i cant wait to get my hands on it now :)

  • @Zaviks Thank you very much. I think you will really like it. The results are very impressive for a cooler of its size. I have a whole shelf full of different coolers that I have reviewed and this is the one that I chose to use on my tech station for overclocking because it just works so darn good.

  • It looks like really decent cooler.

    Thanks for the vid

  • @Cone419 You are very welcome and thank you. It really is a nice cooler. I am very impressed with it.

  • mmm bunnies

  • @barf245 LOL :-)

  • Nice video mate

  • @Mastermind1MM Thank you very much.

  • Hey! Can you tell me what is the total distance from the middle of the cooler to edge of the fan (with original fan)? I just want to know is it possible to get my Kingston HyperX with high heat spreaders to fit with that nice cooler... So what is its width from middle to left point of it with fan installed?

  • @junnu92 Sorry for the late reply it has been crazy busy. The distance from center to the end of the fan is 2 3/4". You can always mount the fan on the backside of the cooler and use it to pull air through it if the ram is going to be in the way.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Thanks for reply it wasn't late at all... My hyperX memory modules are even 2,48 inches high, but if I cut the heat spreaders so they will be 1,45 inches. Or well, I just cut the module closest to CPU, the other module goes to third slot for dual channel so it won't hit the fan. You think RAM module height of that 1,45 inches will fit?

I have two fans in front of the case blowing air in, so I don't want to put the mugen's fan to other side of the heatsink. :/

  • @junnu92 That should just fit. I took a measurement and I got about 1 3/4 from the mobo to the bottom of the cooler. Of course the ram slot is up a little from the motherboard so I think it will just squeeze in there.

  • including the van

  • @Danielhaitink It would be a very tight fit but the fan will slide up some to make clearance or you could mount the fan on the back of the cooler and use it to suck air through the cooler.

  • will this one work with Corsair Vengeance ?

  • @zltnszlgy No problem at all my friend. The new video is uploaded check ti out when you can.

  • @zltnszlgy Sure I can do that for you. I will try to get it done today or tomorrow.

  • @zltnszlgy You are very welcome. Glad that I could help :-)

  • @zltnszlgy Very good choice I think you will love it. I know I love mine :-)

  • @zltnszlgy My Bad you are right the A70 is a air cooler. I miss read what you were asking. The A70 is actually a very good cooler. It preforms very similar to the Mugen 3 . So I guess it is just a matter of preference and price.

  • @zltnszlgy I would go for the Mugen 3. I like it better then the Prolimatech and since you are not overclocking I really dont see the need for water cooling as the 1k-2500 runs pretty cool.

  • Wil it fit Thermaltake V6?

  • @mate960 Yes i think it would. You would have to check the measurements to be sure but it is not as big of cooler as some I have seen.

  • What cooler do you prefer? Mugen 2 Rev.B or Mugen 3

  • @nielsvdkoekelt I would go with the Mugen 3 if I were to buy one today, an extra heatpipe, newer fin design, and a better stock fan are probably worth the extra money if you are OCing. I have owned a Mugen 2 for Two years now and it is a really great piece of hardware.

  • @tjf311 Thanks mate, i just have 2 questions, is de Mugen 3 bigger or slighly smaller? And will it fit in a Cooler Master Elite 333?

I have OC'ed my Phenom II x4 955 to 4.0 Ghz now but i get temperatures around 65 degrees celsius on full load.

  • @nielsvdkoekelt Looking at the dimensions on the Scythe USA website and Newegg, the Mugen 3 is 8 mm wider than the Mugen 2 but the length and height are the same. It looks like it should fit in your case, but it will be very close. I have the Mugen 2 in an Antec 300 which is about 17 mm wider than the Cooler Master Elite 333 case and it fits with about 20 mm or so of clearance. I would guess it would be fine but very close

  • what is the software u are using to detect cpu temperature?

  • @yooyoomine Everest

  • @MinttyDizzy I cant see why not. I think you would have very good luck with it. Maybe not as much as a good water cooling system. But as good as you are going to do with air.

  • Fantastic temps. 30 degrees less than stock when ocing on Prime 95. Super!

  • @PGTMan Yes that really was impressive. I was a little surprised by it myself.

  • upgrade your camera please

  • @THESUPERSKULLY I would love to it is just a matter of money :-(

  • Cool video as always love the intro short and sweet!!!

  • @ComputerTechTV Thank you very much Rick :-)

  • Impressive cooler, thanks for sharing Fuzzy.

Just wondering what RPM were both fans running?

  • @Pabula They were both running at 100%. Stock was around 1350 and the Mugen at 1600.

  • nice new intro

  • @07yondaime Thank you.

  • nice new intro fuzzy, wow thats a huge cooler, the next NH-D14? Maybe?

  • @SylentCommando Thank you. Actually it is not really that big. It is a lot smaller then the NH-D14 or Silver Arrow coolers.
