They have the performance & space issue that unmarked police cars have. But yes, they would definetely be more efficient. @FowVayJetta They have been doing that for years. I've seen police in expeditions, broncos, some kind of pickup truck and even in a 1980s regal. A few weeks ago my buddy got pulled over by a newer model mustang.

I don't know if its true or not but here in Indiana I've heard there are even police semis that patrol high drug trafficking interstates.

@Sahadi420 First off, I usually know the officers to pull off a couple milliseconds after the siren starts wailing, furthermore, if this car is to my suspicions (an unmarked vehicle), they might place the lights on the dashboard, but maybe a glare isn't noticed because the camera is to the far left of the dashboard, and the lights may be near the centre or to the right of the dashboard.

As the daughter of a bus driver I know when i see the flashers (amber or red) I stop. You never know when the arm will come out and Id rather block traffic then kill a kid. People need to realize that stopping for a school bus is required by law when the reds are going!

However, if your refering to an interstate or divided highway, (I can't imagine why they would stop on the interstate though), I can't answer that. I have never encountered that situation. I do believe the ones behind the bus with a barrier in the middle are required to stop though.

No, where did you learn that bad law breaking advice from, unless there is a concrete wall, turning lane, or some kind of raised median between traffic lanes, all lanes in all directions must stop.
