This is beautiful... I think the airplanes really complete it, the timelapse makes them look almost like shooting stars at night

Thanks for your comment - I couldn't really go wrong with the shot when the scenery is so amazing LOL. Yeah I like the plane trails and the clouds and then the sun creeping over the mountain crescent...

hey you didnt run out of memory space on your camera while filming for 40 minutes on full HD?

the samsung camera I own comes with 8GB inbuilt memory but you can also use high capacity SD cards, so yeah - lots of filming can be done.  Although the battery only lasts about 90 minutes :(

oh ok that makes sense, do you have any trouble editing full HD?

yeah the samsung camera creates clips in H.264 which is pretty CPU intensive. I've been recoding the clips using MPEG Streamclip so they free up the CPU.

how did you do this? i have the same camera, but i've not found a time lapse function

Hi - There isn't a timelapse option in the camera. I just filmed the sunrise for 40 minutes and then increased the speed of the clip in Final Cut Pro.
