This is the perfect cat for people who don't know if they want a cat or dog. Cats are easier to take care o, but dogs are more playful. The Desert Lynx is a dog in cats clothing, and very interesting. It's a bobcat, domestic cat, and has 6 toes. I love this cat, and I need to get one...
You're right, this is a great cat for people looking for the companionship of a dog and ease of ownership of a cat. RAMsy is very affectionate, playful, and is always there to greet us when we come home. I highly recommend the breed!
No hoops beyond what your city/state would make you do for any house cat. He eats normal cat food as well.
The vet just treats him as a normal house cat too. I think the only major difference is in the amount of food they eat. When full grown they can be 20+ pounds (Lean muscle, not fat) so they need more food than an average 10 - 12 pound cat.
he has extra toes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any loops to go through when owning one? Do you have to register the animal for a bunch of different stuff and have a license and whatnot?
