  • HORRÍVEL ACREDITO QUE ESSA NÃO SEJA A VERDADEIRA VERSÃO CREDO SARAVA MEU PAI JOSS CANTA MUITO BEM AQUI ESTÁ PÉSSIMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ohh this not thee mastered version...still nice though, more soul

  • my god, shes so beautiful. the nose stud, the blond hair, the eyes. im so jealous!

  • It's nice to see this. I've always loved Lauren Hill's voice but I thought she hated white people. I'm glad to be wrong for once.

  • This woman is a powerhouse. Hopefully she will get the proper respect as a great singer. There is nobody else like her.

  • black pearl pin ,,. like tatse good ..,

  • The song is called "Music" by Joss Stone Feat. Lauryn Hill.

This version of the song was not officially released, but leaked online. So... I don't think you will find this on iTunes. Sorry :).

  • What is the name of this song, I want this version.

  • what are you sayin lauryn?????

  • @mal7achi Oh Bless your dear heart. If it's hard for you to understand then just place the words "MUSIC IS..." in front of every line that she says and hopefully you should be able to get it. Some music requires able minds. :-)

  • buenimo el temaaaa!!! mi idola !!!!

  • she sounds like a black girl <3

  • music

  • "'Cause I just can't be without my... MUSIC!"

  • @JossStonedems what is the name of this song! I want this version. I itune and can not find it with lauren hill.

  • this song is an inspiration !

  • what song is this again?

  • who got this beat??? i need it

  • Lauryn hill is a genius. Her lyrics are so real to the piont of tears.

  • i flippin' love this song! there's so few songs from the artist's perspective about how much they love music. it's so tight that she can sing about what it means to her.

  • Same instruments as "The Mask" from the Fugees album The Score.

  • This song is actually based on the Fugees "The Mask" ;)

  • yeah i see...its real ill n creative.

  • can i get a download link

  • blunty

  • when i first heard dis song i loved str8 away its da shit knowing 2 really good artist are collaborating lauren and joss good duet

  • so full of soul

  • lauryn rules

  • I like this version better.... the horns at the end are fantastic

  • I'm sorry the horns MAKE this song. Without them it doesn't feel as organic. I prefer the album version, but this one is still intriguing.

  • where can i download this version?

  • is she really british? i dont know the accent since im from the US but she doesn't sound very british.(\_/) (?.?)

  • @monkiebrane101: Yes she is. First of all, she's been living in the US for some years, so her accent changed in that time... she adapted her accent... unwillingly..

On the other hand, many people find it easier to sing with a "normal" (how should I explain this?) accent... british accent is very elaborated... less elaborated accent means easier singing :P :D

  • What accent is she singing in? I dont hear any. Yes she British and from Devon and they have a strong dialect but i dont see how that affects her sound. Makes no difference. I dont really know of any artists who sing how they speak unless the lyrics are not in English

  • @dollymat

can i just say that not all of us from devon have a westcountry accent, i've been living here almost 10 years not come across anyone with a strong westcountry accent, also the westcounty accent is not just from devon so get your facts right next time, okay?

  • Fair enough i made an error but do you have to be so agressive about making a point? Sounds like your threatening me there, lol. I'm aware that a West County accent is not just from Devon, apologies if you were offended

  • I didn't know of any artists who sang with their spoken accents until I discovered the Arctic Monkeys--they deliberately sing with their Sheffield accents

  • What about Lily Allen ;)

  • @JossStonedems Oh yeah! How could I forget her?! Love her! I'm sure there are others...I think I just had Arctic Monkeys in my mind cuz they make it a point to sing with their accents and criticize other British artists who put on an American accent

  • This version ROCKS! Like Joss of course

  • this was disappointed i thought lauryn would actually be singing...i think joss has one of the best voices around but not really a fan of the songs she comes out with...

  • and then race always have to come in these stupid little comments.

  • music is for everyone. be it soul, r&b, rock&roll, etc. why everyone gotta bring race into every fucking thing now?! we should of been over this years ago yall.

  • i thank you jesus for still puttin people like this on earth lol we shud be over it

  • lol! why thank you!

  • Either way it goes she has a great voice. Life is a struggle all on its own and if she chooses to sing this type of music its her choice. Many people may disagree or agree with me when I say that anyone can sing a song and make it sound good. And then there are the ones can make a simple song into something amazing. There are a lot of artist that has been around for some time now and still is not able to connect to the songs they sing. Because its just a song to them and they are making money.

  • Excuse me- last time I checked God blessed everyone with a soul!!! But now that I read the responses here, I think he took some away from the likes of.. this is a shame, and having soul sees not the color of your skin nor the background you were raised..

  • I love Lauryn and I also like Joss, they are good. I didn't know this version, but is pretty good

  • did they record this together?? i can't see lauryn hill wanting to do a song with joss in all honesty!

  • Why can't you imagine it? you think she hates on Joss like you do?

  • i cant imagine it because lauryn hill has spoke publicly about how she doesnt think white folk should do black music, and that they cant understand it because they dont know the struggles of being black. so thats why i say i cat imagine it. where u got the idea from that i was hating on joss is beyond me.

  • have you got the full details what Lauryn Hill said about her views on whites and black music plz

  • first of all you are wrong cause she did not say that. She spoke out on that.

  • And theres not such thing ass black music. You sound so stupid when you say that. You might not see alot of white soul singers as much ass black singers But that does not mean it's black music. There are alot of white soul sigers out there. And if lauryn hill didn't like white people then why would she do a song with joss stone? Some people need to listen to there words before they open up there mounth Cause that was real jacked up what you said

  • While I half agree with what you've said I have to say what I think is:

Whoever came up with something first - it is theirs. However, that doesn't mean nobody else can play/sing it. Music is music and everybody is welcome. Right?

  • @ncodrington yes i try to tell people that.

  • @kekecrumedy wrong. gie credit where it is due. white radio before never wanted to play black music b/c it was too raunchy. if what you say was the case they wouldnt have a black music month which celebrates the contributions that blacks have made to music. it aint about only blacks can sing soul it is the fact that black originated the music

  • @kekecrumedy you sound stupid and ignorant of music history. just dont write anymore

  • if thats the case then why did she agree to be on this track, and why would she agree for joss stone to cover and remix a fugees song?

    DO THE MATH! eeeeediot

  • even lauryns manager was white back in the day when this rumour started! if u look up comments ull just see rumour and no actual proof! pffftttt

  • joss stone kept on ringing lauryns mum, until her mum had spoke to her lauryn agreed. Joss sent the track to lauryn and she had it back with lauryns contribution......

i hate it when ppl chat s**t when they havent done their research

  • then u dont know music... disrepectful ass nigga

  • sorry thumbs down on the wrong one ment to do it on the one above

  • She has never tried to portray herself as if she's been through a struggle. And if you actually listened to the song instead of mouthing off you'd realized that it has nothing to do with struggle, it's about her love for music so what the fuck are you talking about. Just another pseudo-intellectual who thinks they know music and wants to sound smart. Do everyone else a favor and sod off.

  • Get out of your own arse you fucking idiot. Tell Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, the late great James Brown, that she isn't respected, and see what they say. These are the staples of soul music and they all gave her rave reviews and applause and loved to work with her. Tell that to Melissa Etheridge, John Legend, the hundreds of thousands who gave her a standing ovation at the UK hall of Fame. Tell that to Angie Stone. Who exactly doesn't respect her besides little piss ants like you?

  • @delirous8 you are right. i feel like the whole image oerhaul was like a way to get people's attention. she can sing but i think she should stick to music and not her image. i see her as pop with soul influences

  • You want to call us niggas but you love nigga music though.

  • Well obviously she did.

  • JOSS STONES: Are big voice, big body, and stronger women.

  • IDK I like the finished product better.

  • wow!!!!!!!!! it´s so great, i love it.

  • eww, I like this as much as the other version... which is to say its AWESOME

  • I also heard about the other version of "Music" where Joss just sang alone without other artist other than herself and her band with the back-up singers,it was really nice! The song is very mellow and light, and reminds me of reciting a nursery rhyme especially in the chorus...like it very much!A very happy song. When I say nursery rhymes, I meant the song touches something deep in my childhood days, like singing in the rain, listening to the splashing waters and just being carefree.

  • Are you sure there's such a version? Couldn't it just be a live recording? Joss performs "Music" a lot... and always alone (she and her backs) :P

  • this one uses a direct sample from the fugees "the mask"

  • i love this version

    saludos.

  • yay!! :) its great

  • This one is amazing! Thnx for uploading it!

  • Wauw, I love this song. Nicenicenice,

Her voice is the the best!

  • these original versions are much better! they sound so cleaner, so natural. thank you so much for uploading them!
