  • You can't miss Jerry pickin' on the gee-tar, Son.

  • Grateful Dead do a lovely remake of this tune!

  • The King of Cool!

  • If you love Elvis, you might like my rendition of his love song - "Puppet On A Stirng" found on jtyler5 channel. Please feel free to watch the "puppet show" and comment on my singing. Thanks, John Tyler

  • Big Boss Man too sing for great Koko Taylor. Thanks to post this picture.

  • It's always been kinda confusing; the great black blues singer/guitarist JIMMY Reed had the first hit with the song in 1961 on the R&B charts (#13). JIMMY also wrote "Baby What You Want Me To Do" which Elvis recorded during the '68 Comeback Special.

But it's the white guitarist/singer/songwriter JERRY Reed (aka the Guitar Man) playing guitar with Elvis on this song.

Elvis recorded it in 1967 & released it as a single, but it only got to #38 on the POP chart, which is unbelievable.

  • This is a Jerry Reed song and he is also playing the guitar for this Elvis recording. Both huge and missed talents.

  • I have a CD of Elvis's hits and it says this song was written by Jerry Reed. Who really wrote it? Aww, it doesn't matter. This song is just simply awesome, no matter who wrote it. But if someone knows why my CD would say Jerry Reed wrote it, please comment back. I'm puzzled!

  • @MoosicandCritters ...Big Boss Man was written by Jimmy Reed.

  • This is such an absolutely magnificent, fun, catchy, classic and unique song. It's always been one of my most favorite songs. This song should have definitely been a hit for Elvis here in the USA, but it wasn't. Elvis will definitely always be #1 in music and entertainment. This entire video was absolutely spectacular, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
