@FaithDefenders2008 I've asked you about Bible contradictions before, and I will be looking up the Archer book, but I would like to see you make a video on why people so easily find these "contradictions" and what the most important misunderstandings of scripture reading are that lead to the claim of "contradictions."
I answer them in The Encyclopdia of Practical Christianity and The New Atheism. 99% of the "contradictions" are the result of reading back into ancient Jewish literature modern Western Gentile ideas. "Grammar" is a good example. The idea that languages have "rules" of grammar is a modern idea unknown in ancient times. Thus when someone points out "gramatical errors" in the Bible they are only showing their ignorance. Gleason Archer's book, Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties, is the best book.
Thank you for your response; I will look for those resources. My concern about the genealogy mostly stems from the Christmas season, where challenges to Jesus' birth are often made. Is this apparent discrepancy a result of cultural misunderstanding rather than the proper data being "lost" in translation?
G. Machen book on the Virgin Birth of Jesus is the classic solution to the geneological confusion. People today do not know or understand how Jews kept genelogies in the first century. Both Mathew and Luke followed the normal Jewish forms for geneologies of ther day, memory devices, etc.
@umbraemilitos Gleason Archer, Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties. Get the book. Apparent contradictions are usually the result of ignorance of ancient Jewish ways of writing, failure to observe the context, logical fallacies, etc. In 40 years, I have not one real contradiction.
What does it mean to contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints? The Bible answers its own exhortation by revealing how not to contend for it, and how to contend for it:
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. Proverbs 26:4-5
You call us to reject "non-historic Apostolic" doctrine, but how do you define the "historic biblical faith"? Does it include the influence of post-Constantinople Roman politics, which grew into Catholicism? Why does it include the doctrines from the Reformation (which reject the "older historic" doctrines of Catholicism), but nothing later? If it includes theology from the Reformation, why does it exclude older doctrinal differences such as the Coptic splinter of early Christianity?
Excellent questions, which I answer in detail in three of my books: The Trinity, Is Eastern Orthodoxy Christian?, The Bible, Natural Theology, and Natural Law. The "Babylonian Captivity of the Church" began in Egypt with the influx of pagan Greek philosophers like Origin. The historic, biblical, i.e. Jewish, origin and nature of Christian doctrine and practice was thrown off and a Gentile pagan reign of terror began. See my discussion of whether the "Fathers" were in fact "infants".

For All non-believers: 1 Corinthians1:19 ~ For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
In Galatians 4:9-11 Paul writes "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." This quote here mentions that Paul TOO condemns the traditional practices of religion.
All doctrine, creeds, Christian Church Functions etc... MUST conform to the inerrant word of God, not the other way around. I pray YHWH rebuke all touchy feely Sanfranfreekazoid hair dresser spinless evangellyfish preachers. This false love going around these days makes my blood boil, they no not the love of God nor His wrath. YHWH is coming back bold as a lion and He will tear those sheep in wolves clothing to pieces, and I will laugh and say, AMEN!
I have several of his books, biblicly speaking Morey is right on the money so to speak. Dr. Robert A. Morey is a great man of God, may the Lord strengthen His elect all over the world and make them as bold as a lion.
What apologetics means is to promote your myths. We atheists really want god-believers to keep your religious beliefs to yourselves. What I mean by that is, keep your religion out of science, the classroom and laws of the land.
You're the one whos commenting on this video and sticking your nose. You atheists are a loud bunch who believes in myths aka scientifically called theories. How bout a cockney accent to sound sophistacated.
You don't define the word apologetics, USAGE determines the definition of the word--any word.
Regarding the laws of the land; if you are American you need to google founding fathers and prayer & you will see how your secularist schoolteachers have lied to you by saying that the fathers were merely Deists. This country was founded on a Judeo-Christian ethic & philosophy--do the "scientific" research.
Jesus has earned for us the right to become children of God, who grow up into our Father's feelings! Therefore "I don't care" is never the right response.
I know this because before He saved me, "I don't care" was my famous attitude and apology. It's the sign of an attempt to interpose high walls between oneself and others, when really, all believers are one body.
I hope you will make more videos.

How do we defend against the notions of contradictions throughout the Bible?
i.e.
Jesus' Geneology in Matthew 1, Luke 3, and Genesis?
Different stories of the discovery of the Tomb of Jesus in the Gospels?
Do you believe we should denounce scientific ideas for Biblical literalism?
Thank you for your time,
God Bless

J0n4,
wow...you certainly made a lot of assertions here!
Quote:
"Jesus disagreed with the outdated meticulous rituals/ways of the Pharisees and claimed that they are unclean"
That doesn't mean that because the Pharisees added their laws to scripture, that the faith changed.
Quote:
"Then Paul came along and pretty much disagreed on how Christian Church functioned."
what?
How about more than assertions?
