  • this is cute! i love hobbits : ))

  • i love this song

  • Are they hobbits or leprechauns?

  • Its true even something as cool as the lord of the ring can be made to look gay by making it into a musical.

  • Love this. <3 I would, however, like to know why at 0:55, there appears to be a guy dressed as "Where's Waldo" with a fur cap that hangs halfway to his ass. XD If you say so, costumers.

  • omg ! Frodo has a big ass in this !

  • I am so glad I found this amazing video! I have been wanting to see this musical for the longest time, but unfortunately it didn't tour anywhere close to where I live, and I cannot afford to travel halfway around the globe for this, as much as I would love to. It looks like an amazing musical, and I definitely wish they would make a video of it someday for sale... I'd definitely buy it.

  • nice head person...

  • This needs to come to America

  • I always wondered by (it's either Merry or Pippin) doesn't have a cloth at th end of this video XD ♥

  • Hey do you have anything else of the show??? I live in australia so I havn't seen much of this show!

  • hey do you more footage of the show?

  • JW...is the Pippin person the one with the brown vest over the green? Cause that looks like him.

  • THIS NEEDS TO COME BACK TO TORONTO!!!!!!

  • simplemente magnifico... estupendas acrobacias y la canciòn me facino... XD

  • I love how you can't tell which one's Pippin and which one's Merry until they sing... then for some reason it's blindingly obvious! :)

  • I full on love this dance routine.

Such a shame it had to close!

  • 1:59 ronald mc donalds running!

    blody amazing! *w*

  • why the hobbits fat...? is it the actors or on purpose? if its on purpose its extremely lame

  • @acerflots well, hobbits are generally speaking pretty stout creatures. the prologue to the fellowship of the ring goes into pretty great detail.

  • @acerflots Looks like SOMEONE didn't read the book. If you had, you would realize that hobbits are supposed to be fat. They eat seven meals a day and just sit around smoking their pipes. Of course they are going to be fat. The way they look is very close to the way they are described in the books.

  • Wow I didn't realize this was the Cat and the Moon song until now!!! I love that song...=_-( when's the world tour coming?!

  • They shouldn't have made frodo so fat... That's supposed to be sam's job! Wat stupid fat hobbits!!!!

  • @mizlovermizanin

ummm they didnt make him look bigger, to look fat, they made him look bigger so that they looks slighty smaller/shorter and hobbit like. ud know that if u watch the behind the scenes programs.

  • @mizlovermizanin You're basing the characters' appearance on the movies aren't you? The movies are only Peter Jackson's interpretation of how the Hobbits should look. But as is also stated above, I think Hobbits are generally pretty round shall we say? ^^ Likely Frodo included as he was the nephew of Bilbo and thus probably pretty well to do.

  • I love this video!! ^^ Thanks so much for uploading it! I've watched it far too many times already. You didn't happen to film "The Road Goes On" or the part with the Ents by any chance? I'm just dying to see how those sections looked since I've heard several audio versions on here. <3

  • Shame that person's head is in the way :( ♥

  • I saw this show and this scene was what I first saw when I entered, as I was sooo late getting there. Good times, great show! :)

  • I'm just wondering which ones pippin...:-)

  • I love the little hobbit outfits...The characters are also portrayed well.

  • I just want to see the musical! :/

do eny of you know if there is a dvd ?

couse I couldn't find enything about that

I only found out that there are sountracks, but no dvd

  • I'm doing this for a show in a few weeks....the arm bit is UNBELIEVABLELY hard. XD

  • I really want to watch the LOTR musical....

I'll do anyting to watch this

  • LOL, I never knew hobbits could be so agile. I love how cartoony it all looks, like how they overact everything in a great way.

  • Haha, frodo fucked up during the bench..dance..thing. Nice recovery though!

  • @PiggyofGuinea when? the last bench dance?

  • @PiggyofGuinea when?

  • This dancing is amazing and you can tell they put so much effort into it.

  • in book they're very ... yes you can say fat!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree. Dont hate! But frodo wasnt fat. He was "flabby", but before he reached rivendell he was flat out skinny, remember pippin was teasing him?

  • I love the move he did (Sam)!

    0:45

  • He jumped on the bench...

  • @LOTRFreakyFreak

The actor playing Sam (on this video) is an understudy. The "real" Sam was dancing much better. Sorry you missed him.

  • Personally I would have hated this number if all singing had been technically perfect, it would not have captured the personality/way of the hobbits. It was so fantastic watching this live, one of those songs that makes you want to join in, despite any flaws or imperfections. It just made it more likeable. By any chance do you have a recording of Wonder? To see that again would make me so happy :) Thanks for posting!!

  • Okay, can I just say that this makes a ton of live singers look like absolute tools? I mean, here these people can do intense dancing, and sing harmonies with projection, all completely in key! Then you have idiot singers who stand on the stage and walk around a bit who can't keep themselves from going flat or sharp. What. The. Fuck.

  • again sutch a fool who thinks he knows everything about it...

    go and die

  • I actually am a performer, so I DO know something about it. I know it's tough not to go flat, tougher still to be able to tell during performance that that's happening, yet I know it's possible.

  • yeah, and im black.....

  • Which has nothing to do with anything we were, theoretically, talking about. Congratulations on your skin color, friend, but I don't really care. Say something productive or stop talking to me.

  • loved seeing this musical. at the beginning merry and pippin sat behind me and talked about pipe weed and in the performance an orc ran in to my row looked me in the eye and shrieked lol. Its on tour now so I hope to see it again.

  • LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! It was total amazing to see live and i loved every second of it! i only wish i had got to see every performace instead of just 3 showings!

LOTR MUSICAL IS THE BEST ONE EVER TO MADE!

  • I am a huge "Lord of the Rings" fan and I can't believe they made it into a musical!!!! Now I can't get this song out of my head because that was the most AMAZING thing I've seen yet!!! XD

  • Lothlorien is my fave song from the show... but this is one of my others!! it's sooooo awesome! i can't wait to see this. :D

  • this was the number that stuck out for me when I saw this, absolutely amazing show

  • j'ai vu le spectacle 8 fois !!! 4 dans le public et 4 dans le back stage !! j'y ai tout découvert c'était fantastique !! merci ma cousine et mon cousin alias frodo and second galadriel ! je vous aimes !!

  • I have to say Frodo's rang of motion looks kind of limited at times, this is so cute though! Maybe amazing is nearer the mark, duh! Merry looks a lot like Dom most of the time here. I am crying on the inside right now because I want to see this sooooo bad!

  • i wanted to see it so bad in toronto i was so upset.

  • I know!

  • This is my second favorite song from the show. My first is Lothlorien.

  • Merry in this looks ALOT like Dom

  • What great fun to watch! Thank you! YAY!

  • anyone who didnt see this show -shame on you. One of the best shows ive ever seen, visually it was amazing, costumes, set, stunts. I doubt we will see anything as good as LOTR for a while!!!

  • Dont rub it in.

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! Amazing Choreography, and energy. One of the greatest things I've seen in a very long time!

  • I'm so glad i got to see this show....did anyone see the matinee with the pre show where the hobbits were in the audiance chatting to people and catching fireflies in nets

  • Yep, the hobbits were in the audience when I was there - very funny! I didn't know they only did that for the matinee though. When I heard the show was closing we rescheduled our holiday to London and managed to get tickets for one of the last performances. Feel lucky to have seen the show.

  • Yes, that was really cool! The orcs went around in the middle and scared little kids too. I'm soooo glad I got to see it!

  • I went to see it twice, none of them was a matinee, and the Hobbits were there, catching fireflies and playing pranks on the audience ^^ I even "clapped feet" with Rosie! :D

  • the hobbits do that at the start of every show! thats partly why i love it! its so funny! one of them came and did the foot touch greeting with my cousin! its so cute!

  • .......i don't think hobbits were that athletic...

    ah well it was fun!

  • Im so upset I didnt have an urge to ever see this.

Of course I wanted to see it AFTER it was over.

Oh well .. you live and learn..

  • i was the same! it's frustrating isn't it? it makes you really look forward to the touring next year

  • were u aloud to film this?

  • No off course

  • I dont like people film at musicals. Im an actor and it would be better if people go and watch musicals LIVE, not at Utube

  • @sortsius

Musical productions from Broadway or London are rarely touring in some countries.

I discovered this musical thanks to YouTube. Then I bought the CD thanks to Internet. The songs are amazing ! Now, I'm waiting for the DVD... I just hope they'll release one.

  • @sortsius But not everyone CAN watch musicals LIVE. I've seen it live but I like watching this video for the memories. You can't b*tch about the people who will never get a chance to see it because it won't come near them, or the people that just want to remenice. Those who ARE watching this video jsut because they can't be arsed to go see it, I completely agree with.

  • who votes there should be a film of the musical? :)

  • Its Prancing Pony Lol

And They Wernt So Much Heels,

    It Was More Platforms

Thee Padding In Our Costumes Made Us More Smaller Than What We Really Are.

  • man oh man I love this! I'm so sad I only got to see the show once! Bring it Back!

  • Was this part supposed to be the prouncing pony?

  • You mean at the Prouncing pony? The answer is YES!!!

  • Oh, nm lol, I am not fully 100% at the moment! LOL...(a little tired)...lol, I love this musical...I wish I could see it, it would make me so happy if they came to America!

  • @dwezil65 and i think you both mean the PRANCING pony lol.

  • @dwezil65

sorry, but do u both mean The Prancing Pony, sorry to point that out

  • @dwezil65 The Prancing Pony is the original name but they renamed the inn for the musical.

  • Comment removed

  • So funny! I love this part the moste!

  • That is what I said, the prouncing pony

  • i remember seeing this in toronto and this was the one part of the show that blew me away.

    well, this and the spider.

  • the songs called 'the cat and the moon' if u didnt know already lol

  • What I especially like about the musical is that it's faithful to Tolkien's books. One thing that the film seemed to forget, was the fact that Frodo and Pippin are cousins. They never really shared a bond in the film as they do in the musical. Apparently this playwright knows LOTR, more so than the screenwriters of the film trilogy. That doesn't mean that I don't love the films. I LOVE THE LOTR FILMS! I just happen to adore the musical as well.

  • i reeli wish i saw the musical but now i've lost the chance. do you think you would later be able to buy it on dvd or somthing like dat. seriously i am desparate to watch dis it looks so gd. itz a gr8t performance by dem

  • There has been a petition going to get the show on to DVD... but at the moment i don't think anyone has any idea if it will be on dvd... but your right! it's an awsome performance!!

  • I did sign the petition for getting a DVD

  • this was awesome live!! i love the hobbits, how did they make them seem smaller onstage than, say, Aragorn or Legolas??

  • were just naturally small haha.

but jerome and michael had heals.

    glad you enjoyed the show

  • thanks, have you seen it??

  • i was in it.

  • it depends. some auditions are open auditions where anyone can turn up. but with really big role there genually angecy auditions.

  • They had heels? I didn't know that lol. Miss the show & everyone so much :(

  • WHo are the 4 guys playing the Hobbits in this??? Thanx so much!!

  • Frodo - James Loye

  • how they thought of the dance moves, is mental.

  • yeh makes u think doesnt it :]

  • Anyone know where you can get a recording of this song?

I remember thinking this was the one song they really nailed...I love it.

  • You can buy it in a record store or order it over the Internet from Virginrecords for an exampel. PSA

  • I know it's forbidden to film the show, but nevertheless I love the video! The song is so cool and the dance performance is definately one of the best in the whole show!!! Those four hobbits are just GREAT!!!

  • I agree with you

  • cheeky, how they got away with this is unremarkable.

  • Thank you. :D!!!
