  • What a little cutie! He reminds me of Casper the Friendly Ghost. <:)

  • Ginger Frooo!

  • =o Good lord,that wen is GORGEOUS!

    What do you feed him?

  • So does the red part have a purpose? why do they grow that puffy stuff, isnt it a deformity? is it natural for them to grow it??

  • @z1zato its called a wen. i think that's how you spell it. it dosent harm them or anything. this species of goldfish grows them. they can be big or small based on their genes and their health. you want an oranda with a big one cause it makes them more valuable and cool. their really awsome fish. like they will eat out of your hand and kiss you when your working in the tank!

  • @mrmoenator2 ooooohh jus the first time i saw it i thought it was nasty! but its cool, ive learned more about goldfish now!

  • chubby cheeks lol, i have two orandas myself! they are soo cool!

  • Awww soo cute! do you still have him?

  • he can be in the tropical tank

  • @lukeharpus

No - the owner doesn't have it right. Goldfish are coldwater, while tropical fish are just tropical.

  • @OrangematzAquariums You can

    it makes them more active

    I know it is true

  • @OrangematzAquariums

  • You shouldnt be keeping goldfish with silver dolars and neons

  • Out of interest, are you keeping him in a tropical tank?

  • Absolutely adorable.

    Fancy goldfish are lovely. :)

  • he is beautiful

  • I have an Oranda . I bought it last April . Everything was okay until a 2 months back . It has this bubble-like thing under its left eye and the front portion webbed-like dorsal fin is disappearing . I bought a medicine called "internal Bacteria & Ulcer away" but it doesn't seem to go away . Help ? :(

  • @EmperorMeowMeow it may be fin rot, hopefully hes still alive!

  • he is finding it hard to swim.. just throw him into a piranha tank

  • Mine looks like this too, well, she has a red spot on her head like this but no "hat". :P

  • i like his hat! :)

  • It looks like a brain o: on his head

  • cutee!

  • MegaMind

  • I have a bait fish that looks kinda like that his name is zit

  • ginger...

  • what kind of filter

  • Not only did u mix warm and cold water fish but goldfish with CICHLIDS? The poor thing!

  • is that its brain???

  • @BennyTheDirector No its called a Wen :)

  • @JohnnyX50 wtf is a wen?

  • @BennyTheDirector Wen, alternate name for lipoma, a benign tumor composed of adipose tissue.

A subject I dont like arguing about, basically these fish have been bred to grow this way. Its essentially a tumor that does no real harm but in my opinion Its wrong, Its a mutation, its cruel. If fish could scream ...

All goldfish are relatives of Carp, and naturally look brown in the 'wild', captivity created colour changes, inter-breeding created monsters, beautiful as they are.

  • what's the breed's name?

  • @varmman Fantail Oranda by the looks of it :)

  • He is so sweet. I wanna have some

  • the fuck is that

  • nice afro mr fish :)

  • einstein,s goldfish

  • Woaa.... So cool . His redcap sp big.

  • i used to have a fish like this one i miss him or her it was such a beautiful and unique looking fish from the rest in our aquriums and such peaceful as well

  • Huge tumor or exposed brain...hmmm?

  • @dillas20 More like fat tissue.

  • Personally, I'm not a fan of Oranda goldfish. I mean, they're cute and all, but the head kinda turns me off. But he looks beautiful anyway. :)

  • The Brain!

  • 0:06 hahaha look at the little yellow fish underneath the Oranda he's like "dude move out of my way" look HAHAHAHAH!

  • why put an ugly plastic plant in front? it should be placed near the back wall so people wont know its plastic.

  • i bought a baby oranda for 10 cent that was being sold as feeder fish...

now she's my favorite in my pond of goldfish

tommorow is the day i bought her

    she's 12 years old now

  • BOW TO HIS MIGHTY BRAIN POWERS!

  • WOOHOO!!!!! I have a Red Cap Oranda!!!!!!! Best fish in the universe!!!!! WOOP WOOP!!!!! GO RED CAP ORANDAS!!!!

  • he looks like an old man but hes cute :)

  • What a cute little puppy he was. <3 I bet he´s big now. Orandas are so charming and friendly. It´s such a shame that they always seem to have swim-bladder issues later on. Probably due to breeding them to this uneconomical shape . But sooooo cute. My first red cap reached only 2 years and then died of some infection. :-( All the best fr your fishies.

  • some people prefer their brains inside their heads...this fish, however, prefers his OUTSIDE=D

  • Beautiful fish. I have one called Ruby and she is darling!

Her wen is not as big as this one, can anyone tell me if her wen will grow any bigger?

  • what a li'l cutie!

  • AFRO FISH NINJA

  • I had one like that he was ace...he got huge , but had trouble swinning and unfortunately he died. might get another one though.

  • he is so hansome he is just a hunka hunka burning love I would date that fishy only thing seperates us from dateing is he is a fish and I am just only human. :-)but maybe if me and him mated then I would have some little mermaid babies.

  • @twinklebell1989

or perhaps just a human with slimy skin and a squishy tumor for a head---sweet

  • @snotbog1 OMFG ROFLMAO It freakinglooks like its got Salmon egg clusters in its head.

  • @twinklebell1989 that fish think you're fugly.....

  • @twinklebell1989 LOL!!!! anyways love that afro :D rlly pretty fish

  • @twinklebell1989 thats fucking creepy

  • I have Orandas that are turning yellow from the goldfish food I give them. Are there foods that don't upset the colors of white-scaled fish?

  • @opheliamoonstone

It may not be the food. How old are they???

  • @snotbog1 They are a little over a year old. I've started feeding them home-made gelatin/veggie food supplemented with a little krill meal and the yellow discoloration is almost completely disappeared just in these two weeks or so.

The food I was feeding them was aggressive color enhancing food for orange and red goldfish. Not good for white fish, I imagine. They are otherwise healthy, happy, active little guys.

  • i have red but mine are lil baby ryt now

  • I agree haha I Have The Same Type Of Goldfish!

  • Look like Ronald Mcdonald with that red afro. lol

  • i love this kinda fish cuz it looks his got a red afro on his head :)

  • how long have you had him?

  • He lived a couple of years but was attacked with diseased when I added fish a few months back. He will be missed. Most of my other fish are alive and well.

  • @snotbog1 what happened to him did he have DROOPY

  • @stevenJEDI3

    I believe so.

  • is that his...........brain?

  • no, not sure what the function is

  • First, forgive for my english.

I´m glad to hear that!!!! That´s such an awesome Red Cup. It would be a waste to let him die.

We all make mistakes, but the important thing is to learn from them and try to repair the damage made.
