If something ever happened like a rock fall or something really bad and they need them they will call them and MSHA will lock them up into a mine that something bad has happened and keep them away from there family until they get the other guys out or whatever needs to be done I stay very stressed everyday. It is the worst feeling knowing ur loved ones may never come home. U have no idea what goes on there. Everyday i worry and pray my dad and husband will be home later. or a call from hospital
telling u that they have been hurt really bad. A guy ran over something a few months bck & cut off his leg, a plantier idk how its spelled im not a miner. But one of those fell on my husbands bosses foot and it crushed it, Mt husband 2 months ago had a rock fall and bust his head open behind his ear he was wearing his hard hat but he had his head turned sideways because it was a low top and it busted his head open from his ear down god bless them along with the others who havent gotten so lucky
my husband is on the mine rescue team for the state of Alabama and he works 6 days a week 10-12 hrs a day. and even tho i am very thankful he has a job unlike most of the people in Al I hate him working there he is always sleepy its bad. I am very thankful for every coal miner ever. My dad is also a coal miner He runs a shuttle car. Not to long ago a new guy ran one out of the mine toook out 3 trucks and ran into a building. my dad is also on mine rescue for the state of Al.
This song will get lots of views as long as there are coal mines. And us from Alabama mississippi virgina etc where theres lots of guys working in a coal mine or husbands we will listen to this song i love this song. GOD BLESS OUR COAL MINERS. MY HUSBAND IS A COL MINER. iM A MINER WIFEE! AND PROUD
This goes out to all the miners out there underground everywhere" He works 6 inches from hell he has a wife and kids he supports and loves... Hes from the land where coal growns... Show Respect
This song is great and if you want to hear a song written and recorded by Harlan co. coal miners themselves, check out the video, "on a hillside" by Ben and Jimmy Cochran
I'm from Harlan, and I seen a coal miner trick or treating with his young son on Halloween, never has my heart ever felt so warm, these guys are unsung heros of everyday life, I have an unspeakable amount of respect for coal miners, and so should you.
Great song.I was a miner for 23 years here in Wales and finished in the late 1990s.We used explosives and shovels to fill the coal, also horses to haul the coal out.I lost 4 freinds in roof fall accidents over the years and a few weeks ago we lost 4 men drowned when a mine flooded a few miles from here. One of the men Phil Hill was a man I worked with underground for several years.I think Welsh miners have so much in common with the miners of west virginia and kentucky .Anyway,a great song.
my dad and younger brother are coal miners, my dad is on the surface workin stock pile and my brothers a blackhat underground. god bless our miner. they keep this country running and our way of life wouldent be possible with out them. every day they work there 6 inches from hell in a man made grave and all the miners i know wouldent do anything diffrent, its not a job its a way of life for them. there such noble souls Rip our fallen miners and God Bless our living im proud to be a Friend of Coal
From Southern WV all my friends from high school are coal miners. I go to college to become someone who makes their job safer. Thanks for uploading the song.
