i think you should have mentioned that the ps3 only reads devices in FAT32 format... some people have NFTS formatted devices and they won't read. video on how to convert devices to FAT32? or hack the ps3 to change its compatbility.... shout outs to geohotz

My PS3 does not recognize the USB flash drive in the music folder. What happens when the USB does not show? I copied all my music to USB drive and placed in USB port on PS3 and nothing happens. The flash drive lit up for a few seconds after inserting but that is all. Someone please advise of this matter and place a video on utube for those of us who have this same problem.

Wow nevermind remove my comments lol. It was SOOOO stupid. It's cuz i was putting the videos in a "Privacy Zone" that requires a password. So it wil not allow to transfer files that r in privacy zone. I put em in the "Public Zone and then it showed up and i copied everything to ps3.

yes the exact same process can be done for videos and pictures. you would just have to follow the exact same steps but instead of going to music, go to pictures or video and then still do the "step by step" process that I do in the video, and it will still work.

you need to follow the video step by step. usually in the drop down menu the USB will show at the very top of whatever file your looking at **example, music, video, or pictures*** the usb option will be almost at the top of the list from the drop down menu from whatever section you select. Let me know if that helps you out!
