I absolutely adore this soap, even if it didn't turn out perfectly. It makes me happy just to look at it. And, I love the fact that you posted the video and showed people that even when it's not perfect, you make the best of it. A lot of other people would have tripped over their ego and not posted the video.
Oh..one more thing...I live in the south darlin' and I see bigger hair every Sunday mornin' as they're makin' their way to church. :D
@MoultrieBookkeeping It's all a learning curve. I'm actually making a similar design tonight with the same technique to try to fix what I screwed up...lol. Ya gotta love some southern church hair! :)

Get ready for a wild ride. :) Gelling is the visual change you'll see in your soap when the center of your loaf begins to turn translucent and darker colored starting in the middle and working it's way out to the edges. Its the chemcical changes happening inside. You'll be able to see it. It doesnt NEED to happen but tends to make a harder bar. Depending on the recipe, you can cut your soap anywhere from 12-24 hours after the pour. Thanks!

Oh Nooos! Crumbling soap. I tried to cut a OMH one today and it stuck like glue. I was mad but not 1/2 as mad as I would be if I spent days making it! Yours is still totally awesome!(80's reference) I can one up you on that 80's hair . My bangs were a mile high but my sides were out a mile as well. Like totally.
Ahhhhh!!!! Lori that soap is crazy gorgeous!!! I don’t know how you did it; but Holy Moly, you did a beautiful job, I know it’s frustrating when it’s too soft to cut. You managed to save most and got them to nice size. You should use the scraps for a re-batch project on day..

Oh this video was an emotional roller coaster! First, Jack was so thirsty, then the soap was soft, then it looked so pretty, then it fell apart on the corner, then the trimmed bars were AWESOME, then they fell apart. OMG. How many salvaged bars do you have?
@Sparklebrook I only lost three, Hol.....whew. Total nail biter. Now I feel like I have to conquer it, so I'm making another one tonight...lol. It will NOT beat me...lol. I swear that water thing is attention for Jack...anything to make noise to get my attention when the camera is on....what a hambone.
