@SuperDooperVideoBoy, well technically Santa Claus has been around for a very long time, over centuries now in 2010. So Santa Claus must be a ghost. I do not know of many people living this long anyway and Santa Claus is not like a family business either.

Totally agree, back in the day I think my friends and I referred to him as casper "the wimpy" ghost. A few years ago at Christmas, I was at my inlaws house, "and bored", and they had a Kroft Superstars marathon on cable, and it cracked me up how many drug references were going on in those early 70's shows. That was the times though.

I also watch a lot of political video's, and the 20 somethings of today are so damn liberal, soft, and sensitive, because of this sheltered, politically correct world. It is just my opinion, but I think they are in for a "rude awakening", when these college kids get out there in the real world, and are fighting to make a buck, like the rest of us, because life isn't always fair and politically correct, and it costs a boatload these days just to be middle class.

Caspers awesome! My 4 yr old daughter and I watch the vids for 20 min or so every night before she goes' to bed. It's funny, I am not one to make a big deal over trivial stuff, but some of the cartoons I watched as a kid in the 70's are pretty "rough", with the head bashing stuff. I don't think it was a big deal back then, because that's just how the cartoons were back then, but when you go from today's "Barney" (all loving) type to Jerry bashing Tom with a frying pan, it's a bit of a shock!

1. He's a child. Even when the claim of him being alive at all was refutted by some, he's still a child, whether he was originally a living child or "born dead" with ghostly parents (who probably crossed over putting him with his future uncles).

This was Casper's only Christmas cartoon, originally released in 1952...and usually seen only during the holiday season on TV. Jack {"Popeye"} Mercer provides a few voices...Casper has the some of the same inventive genius in creating toys that Betty Boop's "Grampy" did in "Christmas Comes But Once a Year' (1936) [and why not? Virtually the same animation crew worked on both!].
