I do vaguely remember when this was on the air,for I was only 4 to 5 years old at the earliest I can recall.I'm sure a lot of kids in this day and age would be creeped out at the thoughts of a host being referred to as 'Uncle'.
OKCancel orPost or Create a video response My father knew him well as he lived on Sylvan which is the street of the public school that my father worked at. Uncle Bobby was a bad alcoholic and hatred children and even cursed them out when they approached him!

WOW! That brings back some memories(although the theme song wasn't so techno in the early 70's). It reminds me of a show that was on CBC at the time where the whole cast spoke english except for this one woman who only spoke french and everyone translated it into English for her. Anyone remember the name of that one?
@airdriver I think the show you're thinking of was called "Chez Hélène." She only spoke French, and she had an Anglophone assistant named Louise who translated for her. There was also a puppet mouse named Suzie who spoke English. I believe the episodes ran 15 minutes each.
That's the one. Thanks blue. One funny thing about that shoe was I learned a lot of French statements that I then used when talking to my sister. It freaked her out.
Does anyone have any of the really early Uncle Bobby Show episodes where Uncle Bobby himself sang his them song? All I can remember of it is that he kept repeating "Hello....hello...."
My memories of this show are from the mid-late 60's. I remember when the little "Happy The Clown" sang "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear bobby soxers, happy birthday to you!"
@Ecossaise - The groovy theme tune is from the era when local Ontario stations used Moog instrumentals from records, for the theme tunes of many of their shows. This one is called "Spooks in Space", by Perrey & Kingsley, from the album "The In Sound From Way Out". The most famous example of a show with a Moog theme tune is "Hilarious House of Frightenstein", which used "March of the Martians", (from the album "The Happy Moog").
