patrick's vids may not be the most professional (in the industry sense)...but they manage to capture the manics' feeling and intent better than anything. I don't if that's ONLY because he's nicky's brother....or a combo of that and he's just got better sense than any other video artist

I think Patrick's videos are great. Of course they seem amateurish; he never pretends he's a pro. But the vids on the 'Holy Bible' and EMG are a great mix of 'bad' recordings from the side of the stage (as if, in their superstardom, the Manics have unceremoniously abandoned their closest friends by the wayside) and lovely little snippets of backstage intimacy that only someone as close as a band member's brother would get.

You should see his music video for "Yes", it's terrible. He has some badly shot Live footage, and then puts extracts of Richey's lyrics over the top of that.

Because the movie is image while the song is the message. The Manics are about the message not he image.
