@Slowride1150 Maybe its not safer to work on strip jobs - many miners have been killed in rock truck accidents on strip jobs, electricians etc. You can check the statistics on MSHAs fatality pages - acknowledging the recent Massey mine fatalities, which had hundreds of safety violations.
