I think he was crying because it is presumed that he wrote this song about Tarja and he also knew he was going to remove her from the band around an hour later, knowing that she'd more than likely despise him for a very long time. Either that, or he's saddened because of what apparently became of her.

okay i think that he cries because he already knows what is going to happen (tarja is going to be fired) and he just enjoys these last minutes and last show with her(who does not even know yet that she will not be in the band anymore)....and i guess he is just looking how many people are watching them and how many fans they have and wondering about the reaction of the fans when they announce it....

I wouldn't be surprised if Tuomas did love Tarja though. Sometimes I wonder if he firing had to do with him being in love with her and hating her husband?

But regardless of the situation, Nightwish themselves are amazing musicians. I do believe they'll reunite in the future though. Great bands usually reunite and I hope Tarja and company settle their differences soon.

Nightwish is still the same band, but it is not so great as when Tarja was in the band.. she was the backbone of the band. But Anette is not bad, she just got different voice.
