  • extremely squirrelish

  • this car would look awesome with some old school rotators :P

  • i've decided to open this video back up to comments again but will not monitor the comments so please flag any spam or comments that are off topic thanks and hope to upload a new video of the newest red emergency light setup on my current vehicle happy commenting everyone

  • what is your definition of a whacker?

  • whacker would be somebody who has no purpose for they lights.. but i still think its a hobby for alot of ppl so why bother em. ur a vol. emt/ff so ur deffo not a whacker. i could be considered one.. but i actually use mine with a county agency. lol

  • Nice looking setup. Only problem here is that is only a law enforcement color.

  • i deff like the set up u got on your vibe better

  • in the state of kentucky, you are not required to move over for volunteer's due to the fact that their vehicle is not an emergency vehicle, it is their pov. Not sure about other states but I am a former police officer in kentucky and you arent required to move over for volunteers.

  • summersbrock, that's scary that you are a former police officer in KY and think that. KRS 189.910(1) clearly states that volunteers have the same status as any other vehicle. I think this is silly to have all these whackers running around with their red lights but it's still the law.

  • Im a vlounteer firefighter in russell springs, kentucky and yeah there are many people that have red light in their vehicles, because most of everyone around my town are firefighters or EMT's.Under KRS 189.933(10) it states that any person who violates the law by running emergency lights will be fined or convicted, and can bar them from working on a fire dept. So most people who have them are AUTHORIZED to have them. And as for people pulling over for my POV,not one problem.

  • In PA, blue lights are used by volunteer firefighter and EMS personnel on POVs. You are NOT 'legally' required to yield right-of-way for them, but what jackass wouldn't 'move right' to allow them to get to the station or scene? Law should require drivers to yield the right-of-way. Apparatus aren't any good without personnel. A minute lost in a POV is still a minute lost.

  • Nice setup , I would love to have that lightbar on my Explorer! I don't see nothing wrong with it being on your car, Kinda shows me your dedicated. Good vid. Stay safe!

  • WOW it's called a WHACKER those lights are worth more than your car,i hope that you know blue lights are pointless courtesy lights,i bet u have 90 pagers and portables on your belt to

  • ill be nice to you cuz you are only 16 and probably have little experience and knowledge on these topics...and you prolly only bothered to read one or two comments before posting your own....

  • @jimbojames587 hey just wanna let you know nice car i have a spirit myself. what r the dash lights. im trying to find some because in a volunteer firefighter

  • Good one!

  • @oatstom I know your post was three years ago, just to update everyone who watches this vid as of 2011, no longer in NJ are blue lights a curtesy it is now the law, When your POV lights go on you are now an emergency vehical that takes on the same responsibility as a Fire truck or Ambulance. No you still can not go through red lights or speed, but all vehicals in front of you must yeild to the right, even on major highways.

  • I have a MX7000 with 3 rotators and everything else on it's LED.Looks great too.But I run a Roadside assistance business so.Nice set up by the way!!!!

  • So how much grief does everyone give you for having a full size lightbar on a granny getter car? Just about everyone told me my MX didn't fit my truck.

  • not too much....most people that comment are just jealous in the first place because they dont have the guts or money to put a full-size lightbar on their vehicle...

  • uhm not to be mean but i agree with (velocityflier16) those lights are way more expensive than that old car and to be honest i wouldnt move out of the way if i saw you running code behind me :)

  • read all comments before posting....i would write down your license plate..and you would recieve a citation in the mail if you were that ignorant to not even slow down....also the led lights are way overpriced due to the distributors...most are made in foreign countrys such as china....the total cost of the lights in this video combined was around $800 Max $1000, the car was worth $1000 when i traded it in which means they sold it for more.....

  • Don't know what state your in but a traffic misdemeanor infraction has to be witnessed by a peace officer to issue a ticket. I think you're confused.

  • we are allowed to forward information to Law Enforcement and they decide whether to send a written warning or write the citation....first infractions unless serious are usually dealt with in the form of a written warning in the mail...

  • Jims right Dream.Emergency personnel have the right to take down plate info if someone fails to yield and turn it over to the police.

  • first of all were not jealous your light bars worth more then your car and it looks gay! and you as we can bluntly see you dont have the kind of money either if your riding around in that. and news flash blue lights are pointless its a courtesy light and nobody has to move for you. so before you go writing things like that read before you post

  • ill just be nice cuz your about 3 years younger than me and probably are still learning allot about the fire service and emergency light use in general....all states vary in their laws...yes blue lights were originally courtesy light..but things have changed now in certain places making it illegal to not pull over and yield...even for tow trucks with amber lights!...yes i said Amber lights!

  • also if you would have taken the time to look at the video response to this video...i have a different vehicle now....you should read before YOU post....i think ive mentioned several tims that the lights still arnt worth more than the car..because they only totaled little less than a thousand $...the car still sells for over one thousand$

  • @69751 And you are the one I would write a pile of tickets too if I saw it. Let's see, you were speeding, didn't use your turn signal, no seat belt... I would find a few more.

  • Good Lord.

  • To be honest, and I dont mean to be rude, but I personally think that the lights are worth more than the car. But hey, I could be wrong.

  • ahahahha..pLeAsE read all comments before posting :)

  • This vehicle has a nice rear deck for lights in the back window.... I would have put some of those lights in the rear window and some in the grill area not in the front window... My opinion, nice lightbar.

  • before the lightbar..one of the dashlights was in the rear window...lol

  • nice light setup... but another case when the blinkie lights outvalue the car

  • that is not legal

  • in your opinion ...what is legal then?...every state in the U.S. varies as far as lighting color, usage, display and soooo onn...

  • The 14 truckstop bumperstickers add so much.

  • If I saw that behind me I wouldn't yield. I would just laugh. What is it with Dept's back east and the all Blue. Give me a California Steady red, with a shit load of flashing red.

  • yah IMO everyone that displays lights should have to take an EVOC course first....and after that they should only be allowed red,and red/white if they are EMS also.....its stupid..some ems display green, some fire only allowed amber...LOL....police/federal should all be red/blue only.....everyone else fire/ems should be only red and or white.........but its politics....no one can agree on anything

  • ....and as far as not yielding id just write down your license plate and you prolly get a warning or citation.

  • I really like those lights on the roof where did you get them from

  • the company i got them from no longer offers them due to legal disputes with Code3....they were selling them for 1/3 the price as Code3....the reason being is most of the led emergency lightin is made in china and just distributed...you can see why such major brands as Whelen , Code3..would be pissed....LOL...but anways..i no longer have the full lightbar as you see in this video..i now have the mininbar version of it....

  • what did you do with it /will you sell it?

  • sorry didnt reply to this...they sent me the wrong one...so i sent it back to them when i got my new vehicle in exchange for the mini bar, grill lights, brackets, cash...

  • this fukin ugly

  • screw what everyone else says, I think it's the shit.

  • I think that the light display cost more than the vehicle is worth. VOLUNTEER fire department vehicle, right? We all appreciate the volunteer fire department when we're in need, but unless you encounter a large amount of traffic where this type of display is needed, it's really overkill.

  • please take the time to read all comments before posting...i appreciate your comment anyways!

  • wacker

  • What do the gents at the station say about this haha??

  • this is the best of the ugly and the beautiful together!

  • WTF...Are you serious?

  • look halarious

  • the lights cost more than the car. lol You'll be broke down on the side of the highway wishing you spent the extra cash on a more reliable car.

  • ill give an update..i traded the car in for a pontiac vibe...i recieved 1000 on the trade in....i originally paid 2100 for the spirit...the total cost of all the lights combined in this video equal that of $1000...so really the lights still arnt worth more than the car....

  • uh yea.. thats a little too whooped out for a dodge spirit. too many lights.

  • it still looks like the biggest fagget car in the world

  • fightin17's comment says everything there is to say about this video and the pimple faced twinkie eating loser who lives in his parents basement and just wants to try and fill his life with some sense of authority.

  • opinions are like assholes...everyone has them

but it still puzzles me why people comment on stuff they have no knowledge or experiance in ...and especially commenting in such hateful words.....lol......besides authority is automatically expected as a courtesy when one devotes his or her time to doing something few others do....that which is helping others more then they help themselves

  • ...lol..."twinkie eating loser"...what made you decide to choose twinkies?....and why is someone automatically a loser if they live in their parents basment...not that i do...your one strange and seemingly troubled yet still amusing 30 year old....

  • hey man nice light combo

  • haha i had that lightbar on my car. its sucks balls.. not bright at all, but hey. you get what you pay for.. i bought mine for 400 bucks

  • they were all gen3 modules...you must have had gen 2 or gen 1's in yours..because theres only a few styles that are brighter than gen3 nowadays and those start at $2,500 and go up into 4 to $5,000 for a full bar...besides lights are way overpriced to begin with...but def the way to go is led since the last the longest and are the brightest on the market

  • Tooooo many lights for such a little car

  • those lights cost more then the car

  • "WHACKER!!!! In NJ this is illegal but it is a nice setup."-Hanoverfirefighter

I thought in New Jersey you can use blue lights. Is it illegal to have the exterior lights???

  • Get a life !!!!!!!!!!

  • In the state of NY every fire fighter has the right to have a blue light in their car and every EMT or member of an ambulance company has the right to have a green light in their car.

  • yeah same here, in our state, you can only have interior or hide away lights and for firefighters the lights can only be amber white and red.

  • i respect the car, im a chrysler/dodge man, and spirit is the younger brother of the amazing dynastys, which i love. the light bar looks good, i own a mx7000. but ive noticed in the states, volunteer fire fighter go overboard with lights, they outdo police and fire vehicles. a lightbar is all thats needed, no windsheild lights, grill, deck or head and taillight flashers. here, people stick to one light, iether dash or roof. i would eliminate some of those.

  • dude not all volunteer firefighter out there out do there cars, actually mostly all the volunteer made up together only 5% will over due there POV's, The ones i mostly see with overdo with lights are usually Fire-Police, i can understand if there a member of Fire Police because you have to have some lighting to warn vehicles, but yeah. Don't say volunteer firefighters go overboard, because your not specifying your saying everyone!!!.

  • I'm in agreement. The police and fire trucks here have way to many LED lights on them.I run a road side business and i have a rotator light bar and that gives me more then enough warning power ( has 10 strobes,4 rotators, arrow stick, and multiple flasher). I personally have no need or use for LEDs.Nice set up though.I'll give ya that. But the window lights would of been more then enough.

  • The lightbar is bigger than your car!!!

  • Wow...nice ride

  • WHACKER!!!! In NJ this is illegal but it is a nice setup.

  • Volunteer firefighters can't have blue light on their cars in NJ?

  • >_>

Thats not illegal in NJ. You can have any Blue Lights on your car as you wish if your a Vollie FF or EMT,

  • oh dear.. you must know everyone is laughing when you pass them..

  • LOLOL FUNNY car is dumb

  • do you know if u can have lights and all in md?

  • Its one thing to tape your pretty blue lights its another to add music to it. What a tool. Whacker! At least 5 year old kids have an excuse to ooh and aah at the lights. Whats yours? Down syndrome?

  • ummm excuse?..how bout reason?...safety's my reason....in my opinion if your going to display lights you better be visible 360 degrees and have lights that are visible during the day time...not just some little dash light..theyre useless except at nighttime

  • and so i can get to the firehouse without having to wait to turn into traffic at the end of my road whick without the bar was sometimes as long as 5 minutes...thanks for the loving comment....how long you been in the fire service for Soweettodid

  • ...if you've been in it for more than a year you'll realize airhorns move vehicles better than lights or siren....but just incase you get in an accident responding to a call...you better have been visible 360..or the lawyers gonna tear you a new one...lol

  • I'm jealous. I'm a volunteer FF and we can't even use dash lights in my department. The most we can use is our hazard lights, and nobody moves for those.

  • sorry to make you jealous..wish they would get a national standard for emergency lights i find it very stupid they dont....as long as people drive responsibly and dont break the laws they should be able to display them for safety and other purposes for when stuff does happen ...or responding directly to scene like i do sometimes...

  • not to be a jerk.. but u know those lights are worth way more that the car itself...

  • actually the lightbar was 500$...the daslights are each whelen slimlighters... 200$ a piece.....lol....close to being worth more than the car...but i dont care as long as it keeps me safe...and besides im getting new vehicle soon!....the same lightbar from whelen or code3 is 1500 to 3000$....jealous are we?....lol

  • naw just retared you could have goting a better car for the price of the lights

  • i paid 2100$ for the car 3 years ago so i couldnt of bought a better vehicle when the cars only worth 500 to 1000 tradein...i only paid 900 total for the lightbar and two dashlights....and i have two grille lights as well that are the same intensity i got for free...im waiting till i place an order for a new vehicle and ill install them then.....this cars pretty good and i couldnt of had a better first car...v5 its light...and move...24 to 26 miles pergallon...great run around car...

  • meant to say v6..haha

  • Where did you get the lightbar from? If you only paid 500 for it, I'm interested!

  • viperlightbars . com I believe the price may have went up since i purchased mine..lol...still its very cheap compared to the other main distributors! they also have a sister site i believe its on their link page...they may be cheaper...

  • We have them for $500 in any color, if anyone is interested shoot an email to scott-at-crossfireled.c0m

  • We sell every light on the vehicle including the light bar. The slimlighter is $130 our price and if you contact me, the light bar is $500. ledfirefighter AT gmail. c o m and website is ledwarning.ecrater. c o m
