@ TB, queston, when you installed the 44, did the computer engine take some time to relearn itself for the idleing??? Please let me know. I installed the 44 and K&N Air Intake system, and my idleing is suspect at times. Thanks man.
i just put one on my 2002 chevy Avalanch but i put the 40 series...is the super 44 alot louder then the 40 series ...?????...and does it sound better then 40 series??
It has a good amount of drone from 2000-2500 RPMs... Between the exhaust and K&N Intake it's pretty loud in that range... But I have a loud stereo so I dont hear it much.,. LoL
I recently test drove a used 04 avalanche and really like the truck, im def considering buying it in the near future. Any complaints about it or anything i should no before i buy it, and how much did this exaust cost.?
The only complaint I have is that the stock alternator is only powerful enough for the base electrical system in the vehicle, so IF you plan on adding a large amount of lights or a large electrical load, you should get a larger alternator. And the exhaust was only about $175 to get installed, I already had the muffler and tips laying around not being used.

I believe its louder because it's a less restrictive muffler... As for sounding better, thats all up to the listener...

Hey man how is the drone on that thing? Im looking at one for my avalanche, but im worried at highway speeds it will drone me out of the cab,

so other than that its a good truck? All i really wanna do is put a brush guard on it and a new head unit and two twelve inch kickers.
