  • lol looks like you're gonna samurai sword someone with that. It even has that kind asian feel to it. Or maybe more of the stereotypical australian sound

  • Musical hooka.

  • You have my respect :)

  • some part it sounds like Arabian flute..some part just like when an alien spaceship coming down....

  • subbed

  • it was good but you made me deaf

  • wielkieee)Fujara is very very fajnnna

  • This is really amazing. Had to subscribe.

  • hi m8.i woul like to know how make futujara.can you send me any project. thanx

  • This guy needs to play with Imogen Heap.

  • Looks obscene ya know what I mean?

  • very cool. i have never seen anything like this but i have been looking the fujura up and i really like this instrument. is it hard to make? is it hard to learn? i think i would like to try.

  • It would be great if you could upload a video that is without effects. I would like to hear what it sounds like clean and without reverb. Thanks.

  • @weenaut try this one /watch?v=zXn0boqfTKY

  • @weenaut uhhhh....it's an overtone instrument, it's supposed to sound like that. The harder you blow, the more the futujara resonates, resulting in a reverb-like "overblown" sound.

  • @badluckrabbit Sorry but no, it is going through a reverb effect. I know it is an overtone flute and no, that is not a reverb effect that the overtone flute is producing. That is what is called an overtone effect or ghost note creating a rich resonant quality. In fact, Nadishana gave me a link to a vid where he is playing it straight. But speaking of tone, your tone should be more polite.

  • Dear Nationalists and Traditionalists: I am all on your side!

Please stop walking on 2 legs, because going about on all fours is more traditional!

    Thank you!

  • your playing skills are amazing and your facial expressions are priceless :D

  • My first reaction to the sound was..what the hell is that! Amazing! The futujara sounds like a cross between a flute and a lightsabre and I mean that in a REALLY good way. Fantastic innovation. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Hopefully my didj and penny whistle playing will translate well to this PVC beast! Can't wait to see how this continues to develop. Kudos Nadishana!

  • It's an interesting idea, but a real fujara still sounds better to my ears. Maybe playing an actual melody would be a better demonstration. Nice use of double tonguing, in 1 or 2 parts of your video, something that I have not heard on the fujara before (for no particular reason).

  • Im slovak, it is interesting piece of music, and i am glad that you like fujara ,, but still i prefer our original fujara, it has mystical, and better sound :)), p.s fujara is instrument which sound the best in enviroment where it belong, in mountains and valley played by sheperds :)

  • This is kick ass.

  • what kind of mic/amp do you use? i am wanting to use overtone flutes in public performance and hoped you could give me some advice thanks :)

  • So is there anyway to buy this in America? I looked on the link and only found the price in euros. Also, are there any videos on how to play it?

  • so....do you claim this is five different instruments only because it can change keys?

  • I wonder if it would be difficult to fit with a bell-key.

  • I see this beautiful sound and the derogatory comments. It seems there is some ego getting in the way of innovation? Welcome to the future, invite your grand da ;)

  • Huge bong mate.

  • I've Always loved the Fujara and have listened to it for many years. This is in itself an amazing sounding improvisation. Our local Music Guru was watching along with me and feels that the sound is not only beautiful, but it has an old traditional sound that makes the Fujara so original. Please keep up the wonderful work.

  • Slovakiaaaa !!!! Thats a Fujara :) i love only a slovakia music instrument

  • You are an amazing musician, but is there an instrument you wish that you could master but can't? How about the accordion, or the glass harmonica, or the xylophone, or a keyboard instrument like the carillion or harmonium. How's your singing ability? You should try the plastic nose flute; they are lots of fun. Looking forward to more of your vids.

  • I know nothing about the origin of this instrument but you sir have just inspired me. Thank you so much for this video.

  • where do I get one of these things man

  • @CanfieldSuccess

click the link in the description and get it

  • this name sounds like "furulya" which means flute in hungarian :) i wonder if there is any connection... anyway, its great that you invent new instruments!! Yaayy!!!

  • @okatotaia87 Slovakia (which claims the "fujara" as their national instrument) is a historically a part of Hungary, that's why the word is so similar

  • @imp0cat wtf you mean "historicaly part of Hungary"? With your logics you can say that best part of Asia is historically part of Mongolia beacause Mongolia took it over for some time same as Hungarians took over Carpathian basin.

  • Great Vladiswar! Creativity and magic should not have limits! The meanings of a culture must be trasversal to every human! all the best

  • I'm Slovak and I love this. Don't listen to the close minded people.

  • It sounds great, overtone flutes have such a magical sound! I'm trying to make my own overtone flute and maybe one day I'll make a fujara :)

Ah, and you are not destroying the tradition! Hehe. Slovakians must have invented the fujara one day, didn't they? ;)

  • Great job!!! Tradition in music must be an inspiration, not a prison....thank you for this video, & please post some other! :-)

  • good work...would sound great with a digeridoo & bass!

  • this instrument comes from Slovakia! fujaru si nedame :) anyway nice improvisation but buy some real one, dont do this crap :)

  • @Asanar This improvisation is technically impossible on slovak fujara. Play video again and try to understand this. And if you want to promote your own country - ignorance, nationalism and being rude is totally wrong way. Be creative, take fujara and make great video - that's the way.

  • @Asanar You can't stop the development of the instruments my friend. And nobody ABLE to kill the tradition besides people who belong to it (like you). Kill it by being jealous to others, conservative and nationalistic, or always keep it on high level by being creative, innovative and inspired. You have those 2 options and i'm sorry for you that you choose 1st one. People who go 2nd way don't even have an idea that somebody can kill thier tradition by playing their traditional instrument.

  • @nadishana Don't listen to that дурак. It's impossible to pull primitive nationalist feelings out of a nationalist head. The way you improved this instrument is awesome.

  • @Asanar - Man, do you want some proof that this does not "kill" your traditions?

The first time i have ever heard of a Fujaru was because of people like Nadisha here.

People like you talk bad about others initiatives but dont do anything to promote their own culture..if anything you should be thankful that others help to get your culture known to the world.

    Peace!

  • @Asanar It is like me being from Spain and being upset at people who play electric guitars because they didn't keep the tradition! I found a great deal of information about cultures i didn't even knew they existed through Nadishana and Julia; keeping an open mind and respect is the way to make traditions persevere, not the other way around!!

  • Hey Nadishana I was wondering if your mouth piece haves a small attachment to connect to the hose so you can play longer. Or its just the hose itself, and all you do is bite into the hose to get a smaller mouthpiece?

  • entonces, en que estamos? un loco de los sonidos, salud!!!

  • Nice!

  • Is that just some surgical tubing and PVC pipe?

  • over the top!

  • In your store you send instruments to Brazil too?

    Best Regards!

  • i would REALY LOVE TO USE THIS TO MAKE A SONG!

  • Dude. Where do you get your weed?

  • THE best artisanal instrument, I just found out about this when checking the harpejji (another weird instrument, kinda like piano-guitar)

this look so cool to play with and have fun doing music XD

  • I don't think Jimi Hendrix could even play this awesome Hungarian/New Age instrument, since he would be too busy choking on his own vomit after overdosing.

  • the perfect wind instrument for Jimi Hendrix!

  • one hell of a instrument .

  • At first I thought the rhythms and the tone of the instrument were from India. Very Very nice.

  • I want it for christmass D:

  • BOAAAA my FAFORIT

    Stormwarrior

  • Wow, that is so interesting. I would love to play one sometime.

  • can i found this instrument sound on ableton live?

  • i like this fujara sound but i want to hear some music that i like played on it.can you point me to someone on the web who is using fujara to play songs by the beatles, dylan, stones, sinatra, stan getz, pink floyd, kinks, carlos jobim, for example ,do you get my idea- some western melody?.i like your t rio with the 6string bass and percussion player.good luck and best wishes kev

  • @Boogiondown i guess some slovak nationalists will kill the guy who would start to play pink floyd on fujara :D

they are already very tensed with what nadishana are doing :)

  • sieht aus als würden sie drogen inhalieren durch den perversen nieren schlauch, überlege aber wirklich damit mein Intro für meinen Film oder Intro zu shcmücken..hmmmm

  • It's crazy! But still fantastic :)

  • This is really incredible... is this all an

    acoustic phenomenon? No electronics?

Seems you are getting some of the tones

    of a didgeridoo, combined w/ flute-like

tones as well.. how are you doing the filter effects?? AMAAZZZZIng!!! thanks

    for putting this up.

  • thanks!

this is acoustic sound. no electronic filtering, just reverb

  • Really a fascinating instrument. 5 stars!

BTW, how do you change the pitch without holes, or without changing your finger positions on the holes? By how strong you blow into the tube?

  • yes, by overblowing

  • I see. Is this technique hard to master?

  • man this is so awesome i had to sign in just to give this 5 stars! that's one of the coolest instruments i've ever seen, and heard.

  • thanks, appreciated!

  • i like to now in wat k is it tuned and are thai the first 3 notes of a recorder or ?

  • who cares what it looks like?! Vladiswar makes beautiful sound with instrument and is a great homo sapien as well. A gifted talent with much hard work involved. I just purchased one and I am looking forward to discovering the music within. Jeden Den anyone...?

  • I'd probably just add that reverb on it anyway, to me it doesn't matter.

  • please make a video without reverb effect.

  • I just ordered one. Can't wait to get it!

  • fantastic idea :)

  • very cool- see "EWI"

  • futujara set painted in black is available. Here i demonstrate basic cheapest version of it.

  • I was just being a wise guy ......but the white fujara on the black background is much more effective. I never saw a fujara before the white on white futujara clip and it is great too

  • But it looks like he is sucking on an IV stand...needs to paint it black or something......

  • see the video response with the painted black futujara above
