Either the conventions are public or they're not. If public, then no constraints (by either party) should be made on civil, sincere journalists. If, however, the events are not public (and there may be varying definitions depending on the circumstance) then blanket access should not be expected. It's a little shocking how ignorant all the comments are here. Half of them are focusing on a guy's hair, the other half all caught up in Red vs Blue. But I guess I shouldn't expect much from YouTube/the average internet user.
It's fucking journalism, people. It's information. The fact that the sergeant gives no reason for why the journalist should be ejected is pretty bizarre, and frankly looks like he was manhandled a bit as well. I don't see any "sabotage" work, I just see scared people.

I like that YouTube featured this,since I think this kind of thing is exactly what YouTube should be used for,but I'd like to see them balance it out with something about the Dems,just for objectivity's sake.I'm a Liberal Independent,and I don't like the Republicans,but if YouTube wants to remain neutral and especially if it's going to take up a journalistic function,it needs to be careful about showing both sides.

Either the conventions are public or they're not. If public, then no constraints (by either party) should be made on civil, sincere journalists. If, however, the events are not public (and there may be varying definitions depending on the circumstance) then blanket access should not be expected. Maybe one of these more ginned-up posters can enlighten us on what the actual laws and rules are.

The fact that you know nothing of these issues or think that are insignificant shows the problem that plagues the right wing. There is a total diconnect between the issues and the way they are percieved. The right wings supporters have abandoned their effort to find real journalists who are fair and objective and instead relied on Limpballs, oreilly, and FAUX news.
