I've seen soooooo many people bitching about the quality of the clip on the Defender case and when I watch them put it away, the screen is facing out! The beltclip holster sucks! It's a good thing the case itself is highly protective because mine falls out of the holster A LOT! Lost one iphone already because of it.

my neigbor has this case, and yes, it is very thick and you might not want to keep it in your pocket, but if you do and it falls out, not a dent. My neighbor through it accross the room and its perfect. yes, it is $35-$50, but the thickness is basically the reason why your iphone wont break

Just a couple updates on the case. I just picked one up when I bought my iPhone 3GS and there have been some improvements. The Slider on the side to put the phone into silent mode is now accessible. There is a little rubber plug across it similar to the one over the headphone jack. It is a little hard to get at if you have larger fingers but at least you can use it. As for someone worrying about the thickness of the case, it is quite large as stated in the video.
Does your BestSkinEver cover the back as well or is it just a screen cover? I'm thinking of getting the screen cover with the Defender to protect it from scratches from my keys, or is that not necessary with the Defender? Thanks
There really is no need to have another screen protector for the phone in my opinion. The Defender had a very nice cover built right into the hard plastic case.

I love this case for my iPhone! Unfortunately, not all car charger will fit with this case. Does anyone know which car charger will work?? I'm also contemplating with the idea of getting one of those portable battery to go instead?? Anyone has any suggestions?? Pls advise soon. I need to get one now to charge while on the go.
My problem with it was the stupid watermarks. Well, what they suggested did not work. One thing was to wipe the inside of the screen protestor with my palm, so that there was an oil film left on the protector. Yeah, that worked, but then the whole screen was one big smudge.I got frustrated, ripped off the screen protector from the Defender, then purchased a new self-adhesive protector from Target. That fixed the problem, but at a cost of $7.00.
Yes, the defender is THE BEST case for iphone to date. It rocks. Just ordered it after seeing every possible review and stress tests. ALSO ordered the otterbox 2000 case that you can place the iphone(with defender case on) inside for extra protection...waterproof up to 100 feet and crushproof (there is a youtube vid of a guy running over it with his car! haha!) I like to go boating, and now my iphone is completely protected!! YAY!! : D
otterbox might see pricey at purchace but they really protect your investment . they do work very well. i have large hands and these actually help me to hold onto the covered device tith no slip

I think the extra layer helped the plastic not stick to the screen (looks like an oil slick on the screen) I tried it both ways and I like it with the extra layer. The screen still responds great.
It depends on what kind of screen protector you get. Otterbox sent me a screen protector to try and eliminate the watermark problem but the one they sent me did nothing. I still had watermarks all over the screen. I finally tried the talcum powder solution and it worked fine. This is a problem Otterbox REALLY needs to fix.
You may have to take out the white gos like protection for the speakers. I did (warning: will void your warranty) because there was an echo every time i called someone on it. They said that it is a problem that they are aware of and working on. Other than that I am very happy with this product.

the iphone is 1/2 thick, the case makes it almost 3/4 inches. If it was skinnier it wouldn't have the same amount of protection.

I bought the Speck tough case and the one (or two really) things I wish it had are the covers for the head phone jack and the docking port.
