My PowerBook G4 can turn on, but only the spin round and a round, cannot get throug and it switched off it self...do you know how to fix it, or anyone can help me please..i would appreciate it very much..thank you.
hi i need help with my toshiba NB255.every time i pree the power button,it light but the screen doesn't light.please help.i have seaech all videos but i coundn't find any of them
@boogiebuddy01 No, as I do not have one. Getting to the RAM is usually a very, very simple procedure for laptops. You may want to hunt for it yourself on that model.
I want to buy one of these, and it has the same problem (I'm guessing) and I just want to be sure that this works. I see people in the comments below saying it worked for them, but in your case I don't see the comp. turn on.
Great video but can anyone help me? My powerbook went to sleep and wont turn on, when I plug in the adapter no light comes on at all. There is a white light on at the bottom where the lid popper thing is. i dont know what to do.
@designschema I couldn't even explain why this works. It shouldn't using my in-depth understanding of computer hardware. That being said, try taking out your single stick of memory, gently running the gold contacts between your fingers to remove any dust or whathaveyou, and put it back in.
@designschema If you were saying you only have one STICK of memory and this computer (two slots), I'd switch the slot which the memory was in as well.
@crgreenwell Not really. Maybe it forces the computer to re-check some settings due to RAM parameters being modified? Maybe the contacts just need regular cleaning? Maybe there is something loose and this wiggles in place? I can't know for sure.
Thank you so much brooooooo!
It worked!!!!!!!!

My 12" powerbook would turn on, but the screen was totally dark. This guy's trick worked like a charm! Thanks! Total success!

before this did the mac just keep booting up and then shut back down?
jimmywiswell 1 year ago
@jimmywiswell It's been a while, I think it just wouldn't boot up. I don't believe it was a reboot loop, if that's your question.
