Bears are peaceful creatures under most circumstances (exceptions are when they are starving or you threaten them). That one guy lived with the polar bears (within 20 feet) for 14 years with no issue. Eventually though he broke the golden rule and paid for it.
Hanging around bears in the season why they are starving, and there was a salmon disease which wiped out the salmon so the bears were starving. Under these rare conditions, they can start to become dangerous. There were other factors as well such some of the bears were foreign and he'd never met before. The guy I was talking about "the bear man" knew this and chose to hang out with starving bears anyway, and one decided to eat him.

Zookeepers bring Bengal tigers on talk shows to show people that these animals aren't scary, but people need to realize these are wild animals and will eat you if they are hungry. They are wild and most importantntly, unpredictable. So to the tourists wanting to be closer to nature, don't think for a second that polar bears won't eat you. Respect them as wild animals.

en este caso la osa madre lo golpeaba y no lo queria asi que tuvieron que darle cuidados en el zoologico.
