I have a GE toaster oven. Because the house I rent is improperly wired and not grounded (landlord's ultimate lawsuit) when lightening struck, it damaged a tray of this oven that wasn't even in it but was welded to a gas pipe because it was the nearest ground. My insurance company was paying for everything damaged. GE said to return the whole oven to Walmart for replacement at their cost. Talk about a pissed off dark woman who actually called her manager and wanted to call the district over it

Try buying a bottle of soap, a dish rag and heat some water. It's not as fun as running a dish washer but that's how they get washed in my house. DIY dishwasher. Why doesn't this woman take the dishwasher back that supposedly runs for 18 hours?

My dishwahser kept breaking and I called GE. I ended up talking to someone in India who has probably never used a dishwasher a day in their lives. I never got an answer and got a new dishwasher.

I feel for you, not only because of this, but I hate to say, GE's appliances SUCK. I work for a home builder in Canada and we used GE for a few years and they were nothing but problems. 3 employees who bought homes complain about them ALL the time . . imagine how many of our outside customers are having problems? 1 poor girl had her fridge and her stove go on the fritz the same day last week . She is on her 2nd electrical board for the fridge since June! Samsung is supposed to be good.

As for GE, they tried to get Tesla working for them, he was affiliated with Westinghouse, and every time tesla had an opportunity to work with some company, GE was there trying to buy it. GE makes Diesel engines Aircraft engines, and owns 50% of NBC(sold / will sell 1/2 to Comcast) on top of being involved with just about everything electrical. Back in the day, my dad hated GE, no generic service parts, all proprietary GE stuff

This sounds a little weird to me. I know that appliances, even as small as coffee pots and microwaves will draw elect so long as they are plugged in because of the LED displays. But this is bazaar.

I've never had a dishwasher. I prefer washing dishes myself to the load/unload routine. The house I have now still has some appliances from the fifties. Got a new fridge but it needs repair already. The ancient stove works great.

The Energy Star certification is a scam, you can find how the scam works online just Google the term and they tell you the certification process is a fill out some forms and verification is done over the phone so you can tell them anything and they never physically attempt to verify it, they go by your word and that's that. 90% of the Energy Star Certified products on the market are total Bullcrap and on top of that they get kickbacks for the certification.

I wish we all boycott ge starting yesterday. My evil half brother came over back in 2008 and had me help him move 57K of his savings from his 401k's to ge stock as he had received a tip. because i was so inept at helping him w/ this stock transaction, he lost over 400usd, in just a few moments. i have no idea how ge is doing in the stock markets now. i could care less. i told him to invest it in gold instead and he scoffed and said that was crazy. i hate ge.

@valhala56 yes... headphones are this seasons black...lol... no clue about other manf...BUT ASK... the store i bought it from (small) said most ovens are equipped with these fans to "cool the oven after use"... the engineers reason was total (it just figures)...BS... mold problems! can you imagine!... one or 2 idiots go on vacation without drying it and come back to mold, so we all pay the price! ... total bs... should have probably gone into it in the vid...but it makes me SO ANGRY!
