Back when in clubs and bars you could still smoke my dad had a white les paul triumph already fading but by the time i was born it was highlight yellow. no joke i have pictures hahaha

@sirduckfuck it helps to get your fingers tough if you dont use a pick, that way if you ever wanna play upright, it wont be as tough on your fingers. you also get a better bass sound, the picks just scratch on the string and you can hear when you pluck it. its also better if you ever want to play someone else's bass, i dont let picks near any of my basses, it scratches them to hell if you miss a couple of times. the same scenario in stores if you ever went to buy a new bass.

@hellsSG no its a tokai ...I haven't got Gibson money! I did have a Epi they are nice but the tokai has a set neck which is a bit better....is the Gibson heavy with a mad neck drop? as I have never had a go on a real one!
@toobghost Ok. I hear alot of ppl complain about neck drop. I say get a real strap. If u can afford a nice bass u can afford a nice strap. As you can see in the video i use a pretty wide leather strap. Its also padded and the inside that touches the body is regular cotton cloth.i doesnt have to good grip on your body but its wide enough to almost completely eliminate the neck drop.

@toobghost I did it. The guys at the music store charged like 5$ and now my strap button is behind the neck as you've probably seen elsewhere. Do it, neck drop no more!

PS: sad thing about that bass is that its hard as fuck to reach the higher notes on the G string.. bad designed, IMO.
Swedish luthier Christian Olsson is the one who builds the basses completely by hand. Mine isnt really a Custom shop, its a Master series if you check the homepage, but i get to choose pretty much everything on the instrument so i guess it can be called custom shop :P The Master series starts at about 3300 euros. I added a few extra things for my bass as different pups, 4 band eq and 32 inch scale.

Lol youre just talking about fingers and picks.... it doesnt matter! If you play better with pick, go on and play then! I prefer fingers, but its so stupid to comment about it all the time -.- Many good bassist plays with pick, and no one whines about it.. so you should stfu too..

Playing with a pick takes the sound away from the bass. Now it kind of sounds like a muted guitar. Anyone else agree? Fingers are they way to go.

@poodude123 Its stuck up people like you who need to realize that if a bassist picks up a pick and adds distortion they can shred just like a guitar but can still take that stuff away, play cool grooves, and even slap, and maybe still be better than guitar.

cool.... did you change the strap button position on that? mine is on the side and has a mad neck drop! I hear putting strap button behind neck helps?? sorry if I am a noob? ha ha

@toobghost No. Is your a gibson? I know the Epiphone version has the strap button on the side of the bass.

@hellsSG no its a tokai ...I haven't got Gibson money! I did have a Epi they are nice but the tokai has a set neck which is a bit better....is the Gibson heavy with a mad neck drop? as I have never had a go on a real one!

@toobghost Ok. I hear alot of ppl complain about neck drop. I say get a real strap. If u can afford a nice bass u can afford a nice strap. As you can see in the video i use a pretty wide leather strap. Its also padded and the inside that touches the body is regular cotton cloth.i doesnt have to good grip on your body but its wide enough to almost completely eliminate the neck drop.

@toobghost I did it. The guys at the music store charged like 5$ and now my strap button is behind the neck as you've probably seen elsewhere. Do it, neck drop no more!

The use of pick is lame.
And yes,you should go play guitar,and not bass.

Dont pay attention to the people saying you should play with fingers, there is no Golden Rule for Bass Players that says you're supposed to play with fingers.
PS: sad thing about that bass is that its hard as fuck to reach the higher notes on the G string.. bad designed, IMO.

Swedish luthier Christian Olsson is the one who builds the basses completely by hand. Mine isnt really a Custom shop, its a Master series if you check the homepage, but i get to choose pretty much everything on the instrument so i guess it can be called custom shop :P The Master series starts at about 3300 euros. I added a few extra things for my bass as different pups, 4 band eq and 32 inch scale.

don't use a plectrum with a bass it makes a shitey twangy noise so if you use your fingers it will sound a lot better
