  • Congrats. So nice to see a bass video where the person isn't just copying someone else note for note. Music is an art, not a craft. Art inspires creativity and your own slant on music. Craft simply is copying someones art. You are an artist.

  • yo! do you have tabs? :)

  • FAKE!!!!!! YOUR FAKE X D

  • why so many dislikes ?

  • Dude when did you buy this, because I couldnt buy a white model, I had to get the Vintage Sunburst :'/

  • @TheBlackOctane its always hard to find the guitar you want in a music store. but you can check online to get one. like guitar center.com has a huge selection of great guitars used or new

  • @Twisted666Clown you cant actually buy firsth and white thunderbirds though, Gibson stopped making them, they only make Vintage Sunburst and a short scale ebony and the Nikki Sixx custom, check Gibsons actual website for proof.

  • @TheBlackOctane yeah i know Gibson stopped but epiphone has some for a low price. but some people dont like epiphone tbirds

  • bass fap 0:29

  • OMFG!! DUDE U RULE!! Could you tell me how 2 play it or 2 right down the tabs.?

  • (Yawn)...

  • Hello nice solo! It 'true that after a while' time is yellow? or is it just a lie, so to speak?

  • @TheCioly Thanks. You mean if the color of the bass turns yellow? I've heard it does if you use it in the sunlight too much, it can get really yellow. I dont know really for normal use, i guess maybe if the bass is 20 years old or something the color starts to go a little more creamy/yellowish.

  • @hellsSG Thank you, because I'm Italian .. and I wanted that bass, I just get it from Holland .. and the largest store of Italy do not take it because its white turns yellow if you do not sell .. then call and tell him to order!

  • @TheCioly Good luck :)

  • @hellsSG Nice mate. Very Nice. but why push it on a base when you can do this asleep, with a six string electric?

  • @TheCioly not only in sunlight but in a room filled with smoke can make a white bass turn yellow completely after a while. Back when in clubs and bars you could still smoke my dad had a white les paul triumph already fading but by the time i was born it was highlight yellow. no joke i have pictures hahaha

  • Nice bass :O

  • pretty good work...part towards the end was especially nice

  • Is that an actual Gibson T-bird or is it Encore, Vintage, Tokai, etc?

  • @Youtubican It is an actual Gibson. I don't like when people play epiphones but they write Gibson. It is very confusing if you are trying to find sound clips of a guitar you are looking to buy.

  • nice solo!!!!

  • @7wazzapp7 Thanks.

  • this bass is good

  • @spikabass I think so too :) However, this clip doesn't do the bass justice. I cut out alot of bass cause i thought it was gonna make the recording distorted. I was also recording with a small camera. Was thinking of buying a zoom Q3HD for nice audio recording.

  • pick wins :)

  • i want your bass:(

  • @jagonzalezs Sorry, you can't have it ;P

Is it hard to find white T-birds for sale in north america? Cause there is atleast 2 for sale in my own small country now atm.

  • @hellsSG it's not hard actually well maybe on white can be harder... but it's not cheap xD well not a lot but i can't afford it :(

  • sounds like a guitar...kinda rare to see in a bass player!! nice one

  • I really really like this solo

  • good job bro, but play some rock too, its good for the soul

  • PICKS ARE FOR NEWFAG BASS PLAYERS, fingers are how it's done

  • @ClassicRockMan95 You realise very quickly as a working bassist there is no one way to play. Your dogmatic statement claiming that Bassists who play with a pick are 'noobs' is about as reductionist as saying that any double bass that plays arco isn't a proper double bassist! It's about being appropriate to the rest of the ensemble and utilising the timbres available. Think, if you tried to play the Stranglers fingerstyle- would it work? Not saying this guy's a god- but choose your words wisely.

  • @freddiethebassist I don't care, all of the best bass players who had ever played use fingers, so do I get off my comments fagtroll...

  • @ClassicRockMan95 you're so dumb

  • @heyohsurferdudes Good one! I'm writing that down <3

  • Dont listen to the idiots that say playing with a pic is bad cos one day a band will come up to them saying do you wanna be in our band , but its a punk band so your gonna have to play with a pic...., play both , more diverse!!!

  • @BackstabBurial no play with you're fingers are you fucking dumb? and i mean with all four fingers take the time to learn to use you're fingers dont be lazy

  • Nice! It's awesome! Don't know why you're getting so much hate for this. It's probably because they're just shallow freaks who are jealous of your skills. You, sir, just earned yourself a subscriber! I'll be looking forward to more of your vids in the future. Have a good day! :)

  • @AlyandEricaMusic Thank u. And good news, im recording my album this summer. I will probably put it out here on youtube.

  • nice one it only matters if you play right doesnt it

i like to play with pic too

  • why wont you discusse pic vs fingers what do you think is more talented more diverse to use huh?? yeah fingers you fucking idiot your playing bass already so why not make the best of it learn how to pluck rockstar

  • @lemonsongthe Cause there's no right or wrong. It's just different techniques. Learn that and then bye bye. You're pathetic. I play everything except rock/metal with fingers. I got into music college for my jazz playing dipshit.

  • @hellsSG fuck your fucking stupid to look up death they play death metal and he uses all his fingers learn somthing you fucking idiot

  • @lemonsongthe u dumbass, being talented is relative. plus its EASIER to use fingers on bass/guitar so u make a weak case.

  • @jkkdf44 yeah if you only use 2 fingers im talking about all 4 dont half ass it and stop being lazy plus i know you know i have a point because if you didnt you wouldnt be bitching

  • @lemonsongthe its not being lazy wtf is ur problem? hes not half assing it, fingerpicking is always easier to do than using a pic. using a pic requires precision and accuracy whereas fingerpicking requires strength and speed. which one do u think is harder to maintain -_- and i actually dont use a pic so im not being biased its just true. no need to be hateful if u want to argue a case u dont start it by calling someone a "fucking idiot" where the hell is your reason?

  • TAB?

  • Nice bass man! Have you repainted it to white or did you bought it like that? It looks awesome!

  • @LamboLighting Nope. no repaint. It's from 2005. I think they stopped making them in white/black in 2005 or 2006

  • awesome

  • This is shit compared to Cannibal Corpses bass solo Hammer Smashed Face...

But if I wasn't comparing it to that.. Sick! Nice job!

  • I hate it when bassists use picks but this was very good

  • "Amazing" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that word in the name of the video made my day xD

  • If anyone whines about someone using a pick that person is obviously not a bassist nor a musician

  • Hey where You got that bass ??????

  • drop the pick you tool!

  • lol amazing solo? You must be kidding me? XD...this is like..Easy lol

  • wanna know the best advice i ever heard for a bassist? solo like you're a bassist. not a guitarist. just thought i'd share it with you :)

  • I thought it sounded cool. Yeah mabe it wasn't complex but it's not about what other people think it's about what you think. Keep playing dude and give a big middle finger to the haters!

  • How was this amazing, its was just random licks that any bassist who has been playing for more that a week can play, also that whole finger vs picks thing is valid. i mean really its all about tone; the pick adds the twangy effect, but if you use a pick for everything to me its not really bass playing.

  • I dont get why everybody is dickriding this this isn't anything impressive at all.

  • greetengs from Finland Sverige sucks!!!

  • @hagis7 Greetings from Sverige. Findland doesn't have its own currency and been a independent country for less than 100 years. We ownd u. FInland sucks!!!

  • @hellsSG where the hell we need those we have Children of Bodom and seppo taalasmaa so fuck off ...btw nice playing

  • @hagis7 hmm true about CoB, however, we got In Flames

  • @hellsSG grettings from Norway... agree Finland suck.

  • @hellsSG Yeah finland upp my ass

  • god, shut up. neither of you can even use proper grammar.

  • @hagis7 Finland is swedens BITCH!!!

  • holy shit is that a gibson?

  • woah, it sounds more like a blues solo on a baritone guitar than a bass

    still, insane!

  • sweet bass

  • not cool

  • there so much youtube hate.

i thought was pretty good. betetr than i could do.

the t bird looks pretty sexy in white

  • nice man i like it

  • its a fire bird dkmanio dumb ass

  • this isn't as great as you may think it may be, you like to do what i used to do play it like a guitar and do tons of hammer ons and ride up the frets

try slides, opens, pops, slaps more often that would really show your bass talent

  • not too bad. the verse was nice. I love thunderbirds too!

  • thats uuuugly bass

  • u really sucks

  • @unofighters No, 'you grammar really suck'. Good solo.

  • dude, you suck. ive been playing for a year and sound better than that. USE YOUR PINKEY!

  • @skibum0017 Sure.If you tell me where i need to use it. this is not hard on the left hand, only hard on the right hand at 1 place (depending on how fast you go)

  • @skibum0017 dude come on give him more credit

  • @skibum0017 I play for two months and I sound better than him

  • @gunsandroses69 I heard it could give you more views. Thought i would try :P

  • @hellsSG well I just feel terrible now, sorry for the accusations! Keep on rocking!

  • @hellsSG lol! :)

  • ar you from sweden

  • yeah i dont get it, why couldnt you play with a pick?

mike dirnt (green day) & cliff williams(AC/DC) both use pick

  • @123marijn321 that's why their basslines suck.

  • Oh, it sounds good

  • Nice firebird bass.

  • @chaoswizard1 Thunderbird

  • Excellent! Fuck the critics, use a pick, play what you want.

  • Is it just me... or does 16-29 Kiiiiinda sound like seek and destroy... and for those of you making fun of the pick. one of the greatest songs ever is peace sells. And it just so happens to be played with a pick. Still its pretty good.

  • good solo... not quite amazing though, i think you're writing a check your viewers cant cash

  • I love the sound!!! How do you have this sound!??? :O

  • That is not an 'amazing' bass solo. Please remove that from the title.

  • Sounds good dude. Don't worry about all the criticism you get for using a pick. Play how you want.

  • hey an sounds great, is that gibson or epi?

  • uhh it sounded really nice. and beautiful bass u got there bro. metal on \m/

  • keep up with the practice man \m/

  • i need you in my band hah ceep rocking man

  • Theres a reason to all finger bassist hates the pick bassist , the bass is the son of contrabass , and the contrabass was played whit fingers , if you ant to play whit pick , learn to play guitar but if you want to play bass Use the fucking fingers

  • @ccrstucook Dude, everybody plays the way they like the most, if they want to play with pick, play with pick, if you want to play with fingers, play with f****ng finger.

I play with both, because i prefreer the finger, but some songs require pick because of the tone

  • @protonelexe Yes im agree whit you , because is good learn the 2 technic but the basic is the fingering

  • BEAUTIFUL BASS FOR A BEAUTIFUL SOLO!! AMAZINGGGG!!!

  • just wondering if it's a gibson or an epiphone..i'm guessing it's a gibson :)

  • i was just wondering.... i know the thunderbird is iconic for its heavy tone, so why contridict it with a pick? i have nothing against picks, but wouldnt fingers better compliment this bass? because i was thinking about getting a t-bird iv epiphone

  • best part 1:09!

  • 0:43 and out was good. the rest was shit.

  • that is very good

  • pick....really?

  • @skibum0017 whats wrong with a pick?? i want to know what is wrong with using a pick??

  • @sirduckfuck it helps to get your fingers tough if you dont use a pick, that way if you ever wanna play upright, it wont be as tough on your fingers. you also get a better bass sound, the picks just scratch on the string and you can hear when you pluck it. its also better if you ever want to play someone else's bass, i dont let picks near any of my basses, it scratches them to hell if you miss a couple of times. the same scenario in stores if you ever went to buy a new bass.

  • @skibum0017 you made one good point that makes any sense at all, and the rest of that was just a bunch of bull.... yes someone could scrach your bass with a pick. i play with BOTH my fingers AND a pick. fingers are fast, smooth, jazzy, and a pick is punchy and full of attack. both play equal parts in their subjective genres and people that dont see that are obviously too close-minded. i'm not trying to pick a fight, i just want to know why people get so pissy.

  • that bass is sexy, the solo was awesome...

  • nice!do u have tabs?

  • @illusionFTW ty. No sorry, no tabs. Just look at my hand and listen and you should get it :P Its just D blues untill the end where it is aeolian mode.

  • @hellsSG oh ok!very nice though!can i ask u something about the gibson thunderbird?could u play all music styles with it?and is it true that u cant slap easily?

  • @illusionFTW Ofcourse you can if you want. but the sound of the tbird will always stay "heavy". slap and pop doesnt sound too bad. it lacks a little treble but still, doesnt sound that bad.

  • Nice dude, very nice

  • Lol youre just talking about fingers and picks.... it doesnt matter! If you play better with pick, go on and play then! I prefer fingers, but its so stupid to comment about it all the time -.- Many good bassist plays with pick, and no one whines about it.. so you should stfu too..

    Btw nice job ;)

  • why don't you play bass not guitar lol. there's a difference and ur playing guitar

  • shame on you using a pic

  • nice but try to use fingers

  • Använd fingrarna istället........skojar bara ^^. Cool bas, var kölpte du en Tokai?

  • @nikklazz lol Tokai -.-'

  • I THINK USING FINGERS IS BETTER KID

  • This is really good.

  • @poodude123 Basses don't matter? Listen to any Rush, Boston, or Iron Maiden songs with the bass cut out. Then tell us what you think.

  • @camerondiazsucks or just listen to Dream Theater :D

  • Playing with a pick takes the sound away from the bass. Now it kind of sounds like a muted guitar. Anyone else agree? Fingers are they way to go.

  • pretty poor no feel at all !!!

  • basses r boreing there the only 1 u dont need in a band

  • @poodude123 Its stuck up people like you who need to realize that if a bassist picks up a pick and adds distortion they can shred just like a guitar but can still take that stuff away, play cool grooves, and even slap, and maybe still be better than guitar.

  • @poodude123 Take the bass out of a song like Superstitious, what is left? Take the bass out of Brick House, what is left? Take the bass out of any funk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, rock, what is left?

  • @IrishTomahawk crap is what's left

  • cool shit, groovy and funky but yet hard hitting with a rock feel, just my thing ;)

  • I love everything about this , my fave bass and fav bass sound (pick ) awesome

  • your shit

  • That was pretty slick bro, very nice

  • i liked the final :D(i liked the video, dont think other thing lol)

  • Awesome!! Love the white Thunderbird, thats one of my top dream basses, great solo! I also use a pick :D

  • cool.... did you change the strap button position on that? mine is on the side and has a mad neck drop! I hear putting strap button behind neck helps?? sorry if I am a noob? ha ha

  • @toobghost No. Is your a gibson? I know the Epiphone version has the strap button on the side of the bass.

  • @hellsSG no its a tokai ...I haven't got Gibson money! I did have a Epi they are nice but the tokai has a set neck which is a bit better....is the Gibson heavy with a mad neck drop? as I have never had a go on a real one!

  • @toobghost Ok. I hear alot of ppl complain about neck drop. I say get a real strap. If u can afford a nice bass u can afford a nice strap. As you can see in the video i use a pretty wide leather strap. Its also padded and the inside that touches the body is regular cotton cloth.i doesnt have to good grip on your body but its wide enough to almost completely eliminate the neck drop.

  • @hellsSG cool man I will get a strap on! the bass looks so good and sounds great so its worth putting up with a little discomfort anyways will try a strap of fatness - cheers old bean .

  • @toobghost I did it. The guys at the music store charged like 5$ and now my strap button is behind the neck as you've probably seen elsewhere. Do it, neck drop no more!

  • How do you get that tone

  • Wonderful bror! :p

  • Yay go sweden :P

  • vilket jävla nice solo :D

  • dope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey, you're from sweden :D

  • @NewYorkFan97 Yeah, i know haha xD

  • @hellsSG me too :P xD

  • this guy is like a rock legend he should show this to someone who is beast (like ozzy osbourn) and perhaps he can meet him or her :)

  • pretty good man

  • why are all arguing about he wanting to play guitar? this is an awesome bass solo. if you think otherwise go watch some guitar solos. cus u clearly don't know anything about bass playing.

  • Hm,in my opinion..

The guitar looks bad,and doesn't sound well.

The use of pick is lame.

And yes,you should go play guitar, and not bass.

Because it looks like you want to play your bass as it is a guitar, and not a bass!

(rofl I know that sounds weird).

  • The intro reminds me of Lenny Kravitz :P

Dont pay attention to the people saying you should play with fingers, there is no Golden Rule for Bass Players that says you're supposed to play with fingers.

PS: sad thing about that bass is that its hard as fuck to reach the higher notes on the G string.. bad designed, IMO.

  • @vodkashot8 The brand name is Unicornbass

Swedish luthier Christian Olsson is the one who builds the basses completely by hand. Mine isnt really a Custom shop, its a Master series if you check the homepage, but i get to choose pretty much everything on the instrument so i guess it can be called custom shop :P The Master series starts at about 3300 euros. I added a few extra things for my bass as different pups, 4 band eq and 32 inch scale.

  • woww... real unvein calling yourself "amazing"

  • don't use a plectrum with a bass it makes a shitey twangy noise so if you use your fingers it will sound a lot better

  • @Lirvine40 It depends on what sound you are looking for. Bass-players are able to do both.
