I still love this tune - and have listened to the old version many times.
Actually I kinda like the old version better - even though I thought the fast paced bass sections were a bit "muffled". The bass section are better now - but the new section starting at 1:26/1:27 to 2:05 feels out of place somehow.
But thats the only section I think is out of place - the rest of the song is top notch - great style and its both sad and fast with good tempo shifts.
