  • I know a couple of people that have the lely milking robots and they really appreciate it

  • alguien me dijo que son poco complicadas pues te tienen en el telefono todo el tiempo resolbiendo los problemas de la computadora pero en europa creo que es ela mejor manera de hacerlo y en america no es costeable por la forma de produccion y mano de obra

  • What are the restrictions for the distance of this unit to the bulk tank storage? Also during the bulk tanks washing cycle, is the robot unable to operate?

  • @mssnsux The largest distance we have in NZ is approx 70m. In a multiple robot set up all robots in the same cluster do the main hot clean at the same time, a rinse after eg collostrum can be done per individual robot.

  • ROBOTS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!

  • In my opinion it is good solution for big farms. It eliminates hard hadn work in agriculture.

  • @marrrcin111 but only one cow fits in it would take hours/days to milk a 1000 cow herd

  • @SWATforce1

That is the nice thing about robotics. You're not stuck to a fixed capacity at all since with a proper lay out you can keep adding on units if your herd grows or production per cow grows! For 1000 cows you would probably need 10-16 robots

  • i doubt it will be any good for Pakistan. The cost of electricty is very high and getting a good return on investment for Pakistani or mixed breeds is unlikely. Even on imported breeds the mere cost of importing will make this too expensive. Unless ofcourse, the scale is larger!! I know a farm in karachi with 5000 cows..wonder how they milk their cows?

  • Anyone plz help... Wot is the approx cost of this machine? one machine can milk max. how much cow?...

  • @siddharth713 Please contact the factory (lely.com) for more info if you are seriously interested

  • @siddharth713 it can milk 60-70 cows

  • Another thing too (im the same person as ROCKSOLID19) , Can the machine recognise the teats of each animal? No 2 cows have the same size of teat.

  • @agriculturication19 99% of the cows in an average herd are suitable for milking in an Astronaut A3.

  • @Tasmanzl Thanks, but is it really worthwile getting 8 machines for 1,200 dairy cattle, in which im planning to get in?

  • @agriculturication19 Even if you own a Ferrari not everybody is able to win an GP with it. I would definatly say yes and in NZ there are 2 sheds with 8 Lely Astronauts each to proove it works here.

  • @Tasmanzl Hang on, 8 Astronauts in each shed? 16 cows at a time? I thought it was only possible on a Swiftflo revolver. I was planning on 1,200 dairy cattle in an area where there is only less than 10 dairies left. In the UK dairies have declined due to several reasons, the cost and pressures of supermarkets for cheap milk as a staple, production costs, the next generation loses intrest in the industry & just like my dad who decided to quit due to the pressure. Robotics has really saved the day!

  • @agriculturication19 please let me know of the problems being faced by British dairy farms? its unlikely that they would face problems, unless the government aint subsidizing

  • @agriculturication19 - Hi saw this in action in on a farm in Holland 2 days ago - utterly amazing! The cows loved it so much they kept on coming back for more but Lely said "No you gotta Go!" Did manage to see one cow getting milked without any problem, even thought it had only 3 teats! Enough data is uploaded about each cow to make it an effective process - this farmer had 63 cows ad all used the machine!

  • I am planning of getting 8 of these machines, can these machines be adapted to any method of renewable energy generation i.e. anaerobic di methane, wind, small scale hydro & solar? One of my farms used tobe dairy & now I use it 2 graze beef atm & thinking of turning the premises for dairy & beef production, should the shed be designed in order 2 suit the purpose of the robots instead of just putting them into any old shed? Is there a certain way of thinking to, let say 'supercharge' efficiency?

  • @ROCKSOLID19 For more info please contact Lely West NV Ladford Covert Industrial Park, Ladfordfields ST18 9QL Staffordshire Phone: 01785281267 or Email: astewart@lely.com

  • These are the best thing ever for working parents with farms! They are soo easy for the cows:)

  • the firste milking machine +/-1915 usual +/- (in Holland) 1965.

the first milking robot (in Ned) +/-1995. usual 2040.

you all go to the robot, some time mabey 10.

  • The cows love this machine. They go in voluntarily whenever they like. The machine serves them 24h per day. No more endless waiting to be milked.

  • @mcorten It is actually available to the cows for 23 h /day. It requires one hour/day to clean the machine.

  • Hey, why don't you talk about the own milking robot system unable to attach and milk a cow manually in case of problem??? Do you still have very clean udder like that all the year??? Why don't you talk about the very long lenght of milkhoses that is not suitable for a smoothly and complete milking??? Why don't you talk about unbalanced udders that the robot is unable to attach???

That is a very good sale and commercial video for sure, nothing more... That is not the reality for SURE...

  • @locario35 manual attachement is not required with a professional back up service. All sold robots have a certified service technician within 1.5 hours max.

The teats are cleaned and stimulated at the same time. The brushes are used 24/7 and desinfected after each cow. The pulsator is in the robot arm so a lot closer than any conventional milking system so long milk hoses is no issue. The Pulsation is even adapted to the milk speed and the individual cow. Very Cow friendly.

  • @locario35 Unbalanced udders is no problem at all and all quarters are milked individually and the cups taken off per quater, so always a complete milking and no blind milking = cow friendly and less mastitis because of this. Normally only 1-2% of cows are removed from the herd because they cause too much delay for other cows, because of behaviour or teat position issues.

  • I have seen this robot in real operation on a farm at a distance of 1 meter. Yes, it works exactly as it is shown.

  • How will it knw if its a cull cowz?

  • @xxtoolxx66 just enter the cow number in the management program. You can even get a bull through the robot....

  • you sound like your an engineer for these!

should know as i am one to lol

thats an early A3 that is

  • Shame on you ! doas any human enjoy to be considered like this ? You wil pay it, one day...

  • How much does this machine costs?

  • se vende en chile k me interesa

  • Cow's teats are more effectively cleand with brushes than with a water jet. Have you ever tried to clean your teeth without a brush?

The success of Lely A3 is based on purpose designed world class advanced techology suitable for 24/7 operation and the most sold

in the world with a proven track record for quality, capacity and individual cow friendliness. The Astronaut allows free cow traffic and the possibility for 100% grazing (proven in NZ).

  • @Tasmanzl

Jets will clean far better and more comfortably for the cow, if you brush your teeth you still need to see the dentist every 6 months for a clean.---- and he uses a water jet. water goes in the cracks where brushes can't

  • @MrMnmilk Why does a car not shine if it is coming out of a touchless car wash? Cars and teeth are hard and handle high pressure jets. How clean do you get under the shower without using your hands?

  • Cows milk themselves 2-5 times a day voluntarily, so you would like to think they enloy it.

See the Lely A3 Southland NZ video how leisurly milking can be.....

  • Do cows enjoy getting milked?

  • SO what if the cow has Mastitis, for example? In the database retrieval portion does this CPU recognize that the cow has a problem, diverting the milk to a different chamber?

  • Conductivity measurement is standard, somatic cell count a common option. This will generate an entry in the attention list if higher than the selected treshold and even separated/drafted automaticaly for treatment if required. All registrations are a quarter level so picked up a lot earlier than on cow level.

  • If mastitis is detected in the milk it will be collected separated from the main vat automatically. Also milk that is off color by eg blood or blue milk, colostrum can be separated automatically.

  • so it measures conductivity, photo optic detection, cell counting...man i repair medical equipment for a living and it yet amazes me how other equipment is so similar...even dairy equipment.

  • wow, makes me want to have dairy cows again.

    B

  • you would think that a heffa would kick the crab out of the thing and would try and get out, it would turn around and all hell would break lose, there should be a robot whacking pipe aswell

  • no need, this is free voluntary cow traffic remember! No motorbikes, automatic drafting gates, teasers, stingers, whips or whacking pipes required. If the heifer does not want to go she does not go! See the Lely A3 Southland NZ video how leisurly milking can be.....

  • Great!!
