I was at this concert, sitting in an amazing seat, through the kindness of LDS friends. I believe it was in November, 2005. Renee Fleming, no Mormon, could scarcely say enough about how much she respected the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Mormon in-laws and friends extended me so many kindnesses and such warmth that words cannot express my affection and gratitude to them. We came to enjoy our talks about faith and humanity and always always respected one another. Can one ever expect more?

Over twenty comments that I have read have been either rude to the LDS church, descriminating against the LDS church, or bearing false witness against the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness, and there are plenty of people disobeying that commandment. Remember to not falsely accuse please. Christian- Someone who follows Christ's teachings an believes in Christ. Real name for 'Mormons' -The Church of _Jesus Christ_ of latter day saints. hey look at that, we have Christ in our name. We view the Bible and Book of Mormon as equal in scripture. Also, People say 'Mormons' are "not Christian" because we teach things differently. But if Mormons came first than people would call the other Christian religions wrong because they are "not the same" as 'Mormons'.

@BioTitans The Mormons do NOT consider the Bible at all. The Bible teaches that nothing should be added or removed from it (both in Genesis and Revelation) and yet the Book of Mormon does exactly that. The Bible claims that Jesus is God yet the Mormons do not acknowledge this. If Christ was not God, then He could not effectively atone for the sins of mankind.

@HLABSINC I think you are referring to Deuteronomy 4:2, not Genesis. By the way, this verse cannot mean God could not reveal more scripture after Deuteronomy 4:2 because that would negate the entire New Testament, including Revelations. Did you know that Mormons revere the Bible and that the Book of Mormon also testifies that Jesus Chrst is the Son of God, the Savior of all mankind? (See Mosiah 3:8 in the Book of Mormon). OOPS! As I recall, Mormons view the Bible as secondary to the book of Mormon and believe in a different Jesus - The Mormon Jesus is supposedly a created being and the brother of Lucifer who is now referred to as Satan. Be very careful who you call a Christian.

Although not everyone from other Churches agree, we as Mormons certainly consider ourselves Christan. We worship Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer and the proper name for our Church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." " Mormon" is just a nickname. Merry Christmas!

In case you've forgotten, the Bible is the holy book of christians. The fact that mormons accept Bible doctrine as truth, their church name, and the content of the Book of Mormon proves that they are in fact christians.
