  • I used to play this shit every DAY.

  • Graphics are bit dated, but the idea was sound. MMOs should be produced with this formula, but take away the robot skins and replace them with something ancient or medieval.

  • @Lordofthenipplerings Ohh, that's a really interesting idea. It would be so hard to make non-PvP endgame content, though. Also with such an input-heavy model, differentiation in equipment abilities could become very painful if not managed carefully.

  • @Kelvinian I dont know if the technology is there just yet. Some of the games with the best gameplay mechanics and graphics in these MMO type environments are instanced and not actually persistent. But it would be a goal to shoot for.

  • does anyone know which controls to use for the dreamcast game cause i suck cause i only know how to move and not find my target. i dont have the twinsticks.

  • my god I remember playing this at an arcade and I always kick my freind's ass. damn the memories I'd be wasting so much quarters

  • you fighting deoxys?

  • This reminds me of custom robo.

  • Persoanlly I don't care for online. Everyone always uses temjins, and you would think the 10/80 would be just a bit faster. Online controls also seem less responsive.

  • Man, loved playing the arcade version.

  • that was the most badass replay

  • I remember playing this on the Sega Saturn. One of the first games I ever owned. Good memories~

  • That's a pretty bad AI, it didn't upgrade its arsenal at all, just left it at level 1, you can tell because the prisms inside of it change from blue -1 to green - 2 and to red -3. When his arsenal is level 3 it deals 75% damage with a full right weapon impact

  • I had this for pc........still have the CD i just dont think itll be compatible anymore

  • this battle sistem was so funny... maded nowadays for ps3 will be a masterpiece...

  • This looks awesome! Hard to believe it was for the Dreamcast.

  • this game is legend, i still play at least once a month on dc, and loved the entire virtual on series... i will never forget playing the first on sega saturn, back when i was like 15... look at the crap they churn out nowadays... i miss the 90s...

  • @BeyondNecroDome how are those rose tinted glasses working out for you

  • @QwoPhasaArius just fine, kiddo... they keep me from playing garbage like all the "gamers" i know...

  • @BeyondNecroDome while at the same time denying yourself of all the magnificent games that have come out after the 90's. the people making the games 20 years ago are the same people making them today; time hasnt changed the producer and the market, the consumer mass has. but believe it or not,

  • @BeyondNecroDome while the billions might be in photo-realistic FPS's, not everyone is a violent-hungry 10 year old, and, like everything (yes, even like the 90's), you need only dig a little deeper on the surface to find the gold. frankly, i think you're talking out of your ass, and if you havent played a game from the last 10 years and enjoyed you're a liar or a fucking idiot.

they really have to fix that fucking character limit

  • the arcade cabinet for this looked bad ass, side by side with twin control sticks and the tinted divider, last time i seen it was 5 years ago, wish i could find one of my own(as if)

  • @qwalznarg ah yes, it was much easier to play in arcades as well... the dreamcast version never quite responded to well as it attempted to mimic the dual stick input...but really, couldnt. it was the games only drawback, as far as the home release went... i wonder if dual stick is intact on the 360 rerelease, it does have dual joysticks...

  • @BeyondNecroDome There was a dual stick controller for this game.

  • Ah memories. By the way for the younger kiddies, this game is way older than the xbox.

  • great game! but the GUNDAM VS series is waaaaaay better than this. check it out!

  • @tuttkhan55 Nope.

  • Awesome turn around at the end of the first round!

  • This game looks really similar to Custom Robo. Are they alike in gameplay?

  • @TheWildSeraph Partially, Custom Robo is far simpler. Virtual On has quite complex dashing mechanics, whereas Custom Robo is just an arena shooter really.

  • @TheWildSeraph this is like armored core and gundam

  • sooo its a game o_O looks like gundam :P uhh this is for xbox?

  • I never hear of this game before! It's looks awesome!

  • i remember i would waste so much money by just playing the game. Ah childhood, how i miss you...

  • if you could create some fanart of temjin and feiyen together it would be very nice.

  • Dear sony,

Can you have cool dl like xboxlive?

  • Were those all dash CC attacks you did that first match? It sort of looked like you were dashing sideways and were able to use your CC without cutting your dash. Usually I can't get a dashing CC unless I'm dashing forward.

  • on the arcade.. if u random u can randomly pick ajim... but its very hard to practice it coz u can random it only...

  • They need to remake this game... so awesome

  • @Cody2554 ...Dude. They did...

It's on XBLA with online play.

  • AMAIZING game. Awwwww..... the fun I had playing this on Sega Saturn. I miss it *snif* *snif* ^_^

I wish some company would make a MMO arround this theme and THIS MUCH action. No RPG sensless grinding, juts PURE OL'FUN.

  • This was one of the best games in the arcade when i was a kid. Good times

  • why would you wont to play as Ajim the dude is hacked, thats no fun. Dude playing Temjin you do me proud REPRESENT thats how you play Temjin.

  • can u be him?

  • can u play as him?

  • I can't beat him. D:

  • classic classic game

  • on the first match, beautiful finish.

  • I remember playing against Ajim and I never won. Bu that was when i was 8, XP

  • what is this guy talking about? sturdy armor? he has the worst in the game. id say its safe to say he has none. he's strong as hell tho. my fav char.

  • CPU Ajim has more defense than the playable version. Twice as much HP and possibly more V Armor, but I'm not sure on that.

  • @jelaninoel There's two versions of Ajim, the unlockable one's crappy, and the one the CPU has in secret boss mode is too damn good.

  • @jelaninoel CPU Ajim = Thick Armor ; Player Ajim = Paper Armor.

  • Hey caco, armored core and virtual on? You're my kind of bro.

  • aaahhhh yes..... use to have this on dreamcast..... such a good game......

  • I havent seen this game in years. This brings back fond memories.

  • It just came out on Xbox Live Arcade. Now you can play online!

  • i cannot believe i remembered the NAME of this video game and not to mention the graphics... wow watchin this brings back memories... my favorite was Temjin

  • i always played it on the arcades with my father it was great

  • i still have this for dream cast and it works

  • Same here, man. The memories...

  • @PhyA52 yeah i just got it yesterday, was on sale for 33% off. only 800 MS points right now.

  • @PhyA52

    I WANT A PC VERSION NOW!!!!!!!!! ^_^

  • @PhyA52 YES! sure wish they'd remake this game

  • VOOM's Raiden's BGM? o.o

  • 888

  • How do you do that running slash?

  • Comment removed

  • Woohoo, coming to the 360 :-D

  • W00t I know I'm soooooooooooooooooo excited :D

  • it's going to be great

  • Dude.... You took out the penelty boss!! That was awesome! I thought Ajim was stronger then that though, but I must admit, he is NASTY to fight with.

  • amazing i cnt bit ajim even once ahehehe.

  • Ajim is a monster, fighting him in arcade makes my progress turn into a shit, I was so pissed off fighting that kind of extraordinary monster VR, damn, it is stronger than Jaguarandi, I can compare Ajim to an expert VOOT player!

  • Wow how can you do so much damage to him. When I hit him it does like .1% damage.

  • That was a beautiful fight! This makes me wanna play the game even more now.

  • I only played him once. I almost had him but his last attack killed me. I was sooo pissed!

  • Damn, you made that look way too easy. I used to get so pissed fighting him at first.

  • Ajim was a beast. I even tried to unlock him and still wasn't possible. I think I did beat him. What I don't like is how the AI version is powerful V-Armor and when you play it, it's armor is weak. I hate when they do that to characters. Nice gameplay btw.

  • Nice run. Ajim in VOOT was no joke.

  • just curious but are you aware of the arcades version of the machine? the one where you sit in the chair and it feels like your in the Virtuoid? if you do how much do you think it would be worth if someone was to buy it now? btw how do you unlock ajim ur really good at this game and its my fav

  • What's up with the Background Music being so much louder then the in-game sound effects? Error or did you do this to add a more dramatic feel to the fight? Anyway nice fight. Hope to see more from you about VO. ^_^

  • Yep, that charge attack Ajim did at the end of the second round is a self-destruct of sorts. When he activated it I did the patented "running away technique". If you get nailed by the blast it almost always kills you.

  • @Cacophanus lol the patented "get the fuck out of here technique" only can work once, because u got the fuck out lol

  • Manz got skill! Was that boss about to let rip some uber fire when it stood in the centre?

  • That's just grim! - Ajim used to pwn me so hard and dance on my grave.
