diving from that hight its easy to injure your arms/shoulders etc. here is the DD (degree of difficulty) on entrys:

Entry head first  0.6

Blind entry (only feet first) 0.6

Barani (½ twist for entry) 0.1

blind head entrys are illegal!

Great video! How long have you been doing shows and for what companies? I just finished my first year of doing shows here in the U.S. the highest i've dove is only about 70ft, so still some work to get to the height you guys dive off of!

i rarely have such splashless entries, when i break the surface with my foots first. and of course not of such an altitude. How long do you have trained to get a cliff diver? I'm intrested in it. but sometimes i'm lucky to be just a springboard diver. I don't want to know, what would happen, if i smacked the water from this altitude....

Well there isn't an official world championships this year, but the biggest competition will be a red bull event in Austria on the 19th of July. The location is called Wolfgangsee, which is close to Salzburg.

Between t 80-85km from 25m-27m.

So I think that converts to about 55MPH

I had a mathamatician work this out for me

That's fast. I've have seen people getting a black eye and broken bones from high diving.

I do a pool dive, about 5mph. Very extreme!

We love Sloveinia it has some great cliff diving locations..I would really like to make a documentary there...the people in Sloveinia are awesome too!! Good comment, this a great sport to watch. Sometimes I think a lot of extreme sports can get tainted with that jack ass or dare devil stereotype. Power to sport and people who live life!!

As a spectator sport I can't think of anything better - unless you guys get serious with the synchro - that would be magical! This country really needs to get itself together on this one. There are mutterings of 'ban it'. There are one or two of us trying to put up a fight for the sport but it's hard work.

Yeh were already doing some syncro event in Acapulco. But I'm with you I would like to see some more full scale syncro comps. I wil be filming some cliff diving doco's next year and I will be sure to include some more sycro to raise the awarness.

Great clip Joey. You, Orlando and a few select others have elevated the sport of high diving (sorry about the pun) to a new level and it should receive more recognition. I think one of the reasons it doesn't is because high diving is so far beyond the ability of the average athlete.

Hey thank you for the nice comments. Yeh our sport requires at least 8 years of training, its definitly not the sort of sport you can pick up in 3 or 4 years. Another problem is that we have no equipment, so there is not a lot support from sponsors in that kind of way. However Red Bull has given our sport a vital injection of media exposure. Red Bull has put on the best cliff diving events I have ever seen!! Are you involved in the sport of diving? How do you know about Orlando and I?

Hey there sorry for the late response I`ve been on tour competing. The very first slow motion dive you see in the clip is on the Amalfi Coast (Italy) You can inf loads of great cliff diving spots around this area. Some of the other locations are in China, Hawaii, Australia, Taiwan,Slovienia....you name it we we've been there

my dad told me before few days: if you want to dive.. go dive but in one case - in a special place to dive (that means special pools) but the problem there are no special pools like this here (in Israel)and that cliff that i jump from needs 45 minuets in car to reach it so its not easy to me neither...

i didnt join anything because there are no courses for high diving here ( or at least i didnt hear about something like that)...

u can say he is a fan and I'm an amateur diver (oh how i wish to be a good diver)... i really love this sport but there is no place to do it here (the highest place i jumped from is about 6 meters and the highest place i know is quite high - 15 meters but there are a lot of rocks there and my father is banning me to jump there.. and there are no pools for high dive here).. so i guess I'll stay here watching videos lol
