This is unfortunate..Times now is the worst among the Indian English news channels & anybody here who follows news regularly don't give much value to the sensationalized reports of this channel..
Historically speaking Australia haven't covered themselves in glory with their treatment of Aborigines but to call an entire nation of 20 million racist is bordering on the insane..Let it be known that there are other News channels out here that are more responsible
Mmm, I guess I know what you mean about many of our current pollies and government departments. Not sure it puts us in the world embarrassment category though??? For example, Julia Gillard as much as I am not a fan of the ALP, was a hit in the US a few weeks back. We're living in the past, I don't get that? Some Aussie traditions might raise the odd eyebrow from people that don't know us, but what Aussie customs do you particularly object to?
look how perverted indian cab drivers are, they're cheats and sexual predators and they always pick on the most vulnerable it's always the elderly or women they target because they're absolutley shit scared of the average aussie bloke, all they do is look at the ground when were around, fuckin skinny little cowards they are.
There goes the rambling of someone either stupid, uneducated or totally ignorant. Maybe even all three.
As only 23 percent of the Australian population has any convict ancestry, your comment makes no sense whatsoever. Secondly, hardly any of the convicts were violent. Most were convicted of petty crimes like stealing bread to feed the kids.
I suggest you spend a little less time on YT being an idiot, and bit more time reading a few books.
@AustraliaProud 23% of the Australian population??? About 160,000 convicts were sent to Australia in the first 80 years. Millions of immigrants have been sent to Australia in 213 years. There wouldn't be 4 million Australians with convict ancestry because 165,000 convicts don't breed in to 4 million descendents.
I don't follow your logic (or objective for that matter)?
Firstly, in the time scale it is entirely possible for 160,000 to produce 4 million currently living direct blood linked descendants. Secondly, what does 4 million have to do with it anyway? 4 million only represents around 17% of our current population, not 23%. In fact the actual percentage is unknown, but it is generally accepted to be just under a quarter of the current population.
@AustraliaProud If 160,000 men and women were here in 1788 as convicts, there is an outside chance that they could have 4 million descendants. At best, I would say that the convicts could have had 1 million descendants as of 2011. I would estimate that the average number of children women had between 1790 and 2010 would have been 4 children. So, I did a doubling convict population calculation every 25 years, and only came to 5 million by the turn of the 20th century. (cont)
@AustraliaProud (continued) - But that doesn't take into consideration that many convicts wouldn't have been having children during colonial times. Also taking in to consideration that few women would have been available to convicts, since few were sent to Australia unmarried. The bulk of the population growth in colonial Australia would have been free settlers reproducing, as well as new immigrants in the 1800s.
160k convicts were not actually here in 1788. That would imply they all arrived at the same time. The generally accepted position, endorsed by various historians and academics, is that just less than a quarter of todays Australians have some convict blood tie..........
@AustraliaProud I know that 160,000 convicts weren't in Australia in 1788. I was doing a hypothetical "even if" situation. Of course, if you are going to include cousins, second cousins, uncles, aunts, former roommates etc., you are going to have about 23% of Australians who know of a distant family member who was a convict. Yet, I stick with the common position that very few Australians had convict ancestry.
.........While some will be direct descendants, viz parents, grandparents and so on, obviously many will have a more tenouous and distant link (though still a blood connection) somewhere in the family tree.
I am still not sure of your objective here, but your over-simplification and apparent desire to refute the generally accepted position, tends to suggest a political point. What is it?
lol the australian media has embrassed itself more because before taking the sting it did not even know that ammonium nitrate is legal to sell in india.australian media is really a joke.while talking about the given video indian media also blames the government.it is totally critic
That's ridiculous. We're not talking about editorial incompetence, or even journalistic licence. Surely most people know that you simply do not believe everything you read in the newspapers (regardless of the country of origin)
That's not the issue here at all, but India's relentless and concerted inaccurate anti Australian sensationalism and its liberal usage of the words like racism and racist, which totally misleads Indians and provokes ill-feeling on both sides.
@walkabout09 They've begun blaming UK's colonialism. That's how the corrupt thieves that operate India work. More propaganda and spin will enrage India's mostly uneducated population, and they'll forget whatever it was that causes the problems in the first place.
I guess they are too poor to buy a mirror and look at themselves, because it looks like they are walking around with blood on their hands; trying to blame others for what they are doing.
Interesting that he says that it is "economic" and not just racism for the bashing of indian students. This is part of the problem with Indians, they think they have an automatic right to enter Australia and if some Australians start objecting to the resulting population pressures then they are labelled racist. Yes we do have a right to object if Indians are saturating the labour market just as Indians recently put restricitons on semi-skilled migrants. Try getting an Indian retirement visa.

Australians are basically prisoners and slaves. They were sent to a lonely island "down under" because nobody wanted them.
Violence and racism are in their roots.
