  • ONE WORD "SUCKER PUNCH "

  • Thanks from an old Arsonal Park Lawrenceville guy...

I'm recording a 8 track of Pittsburgh songs for my car shows.....

  • I can't get enough of this song. What a great song.

  • Very nice version; I don't think I've ever heard a bad one of this classic.

  • This brings back great memories of my high school days in Shinnston, WV. This song was a big hit in our area and it was great to dance to this song. They do not make music like this anymore. For years I was looking for this song and could not find it but a friend of mine told me to look on Youtube. Thank you for posting this song on here. Frank

  • I have a question. I was watching some of the pictures. They were taken in Monessen, Pa and One was from Belle Vernon,Pa. Monessen was my hometown. I went to Monessen High class of 66. Was there some connection to this band and Monessen? Love this song

  • @civilwardoc1 thanks for taking the time to comment!! the only real connection was that this record was big all up and down the mon valley in the day, tho i understand richie merritt was with these guys for a while, and he lived in donora. pookie

  • @pghpookie Hey Pookie, this was BIG across the river in Steubenville, too. I remember going to Teenland West in Follansbee WV dancing to this with my sweetie--very romantic night for a 16-year old girl madly in love. Remember Scott English's High on a Hill--another Pittsburgh/Steubenville winner!!

  • @civilwardoc1 The Electrons were from Penn Hills High School class of 67 .

  • @civilwardoc1 Hello, go Monessen Greyhounds!! Once a Greyhound always a Greyhound :) Awesome music!!

  • T'Aint no big thing

  • Sweet!

  • I wish someone would post the flip side of that record. It was "Midnight Hour" I liked that even better than this side.

  • I grew up around Pittsbugh listening to WAMO and was SO impressed by your music AND the imagery you used on Ain't No Big Thing. PLEASE keep up the great work!

  • Such a great track but for me personally its gotta be Jimmy James for the best cut.

  • Great job, Pookie! Thanks for this one, a Pittsburgh classic.

  • so glad you liked this, stay tuned. more pgh oldies to come. just am having a hard time finding the time to get everything on!!

  • Love this version of the song...

  • I read somewhere on the internet that the Electrons were students at Penn Hills High School when they recorded this. Sounds just as good as the Radiants' original.

  • They were in Penn Hills High School when this was recorded in the spring of 67. It was released in Aug. 67 .

  • Pookie, thanks so much. I love this tune. Reminds me of the high school gym dances back in that era. Kids today don't know what they missed!

  • Just great! Thanks jamie for sending. *****

  • Awesome.Pookie.Sounds 69-70.Reminds me of San Pedro and The Lost Generation.Great upload.

  • Pook, you've done it again! I can still remember The Electrons doing this on COME ALIVE,and their subsequent appearances on the program. Those cute COME ALIVE girls linger in my memory, too. Fun times. Thanks for finding this! Take care my friend, take care.
