  • I think I remember him first in a mid 60's detergent TV ad.

  • Funny how Wally had that vocoder sound down way before Disney nation and all those lame dance mix tunes got a hold on it. He was a great character actor. Who could forget his turn on the Twilight Zone when his super computer, Agnes, develops a fatal attraction crush on him. He makes that somewhat thin episode worth watching.

  • Awesome multi talented Artist Wally C. Cox!!!!!!

  • Love this tune

  • Unique. Watched Hiram Holliday on my uncle's vintage TV. I thought he was great...... still do

  • Marlon Brando was the recipient of the urn with Wally's ashes. REALLY.

  • Awesome yodel!!! =)

  • It's COMEDY............get it??????

  • @SwollenEardrum It was a comedy act!

  • Old-fasioned autotune..

  • So clever - what a laugh seriously from one octave to another. hoho

  • Considered by music historian Joel Whitburn to be the worst song in the history of music.

  • @DerFrederick Not even close....

  • This record reached #24 in May 1953. The flip side, "What A Crazy Guy," was also a hit -- reaching #27. It was Cox's only successful single. And yes, Wally was the voice of Underdog.

  • didn't he also do the voice of Underdog?

  • @BRuggs666 yh

  • @BRuggs666 - that he did, and there are those not quite old enough to remember Mr Peepers who recognise him mostly for reading the role of Shoeshine Boy/Underdog.

  • @knoodelhed I fall into that category, I don't remember Mr. Peepers, but I most certainly remember shoeshine boy.

  • if t-pain is auto tune.. this is manual tune :P

  • You may be too young to remember, but he was huge in the early fifties. his show "Mr Peepers" was okne of the most popular shows on the tube.

  • Incredible voice control...hilarious!!!!!

  • @sparkescadman - maybe, but it's irritating too. ;)

  • @sandinmyears1 So is Barney

  • a talented performer, died too too young, and a pity that his biggest exposure was on Hollywood Squares...sigh...but hey Wally we remember ya, you're a classic and an inspiration

  • @vrikey Yeah, 'younger' audiences (those born after 1960-1970 probably knew Wally best from Hollywood Squares, but he became a star in the early years of TV as "Mr. Peepers."
