  • It's the Wales town first then the one in New Zealand.

  • Longest guinness book of records is a mountain in New Zealand. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrob wllllantysiliogogogoch is 2nd longest.

  • And you also sound like a teacher, Lol!

  • Haha, Rebbecca, You are so funny... !

  • This is no true. The longest place name is the full name of Bangkok (Thais people call "Krung Thep"). Its full name is "Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Phiman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit.

  • uuummm no i think you'll find its welsh

  • 'The Church of St. Mary's in the hollow of the white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio of the Red Cave.'

that looks like a nice place to eat. i'm diggin the soundtrack.

  • "gooschhhh"" haha i love the blonde girl!!!!! sooo charming! :D

  • Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu

  • nope. its in new zealand, its a name of a hill

  • it's on the isle of angelsey, not north wales...but for an english person, you can say it perfect! I'm english, but hav welsh reletives who taught me how to say it and spell it.

  • anglesey is in north wales

  • Soo cool I cant even say the beginning of the word and she says it soo fast

eny way the longest word is :

    ELASTIC !!!!

  • acsually it is a word in china that is the longest in the world lol so get it right

  • get it then prove it this was proved by guiness world records

  • Krungthepmahanakonbowornratanakosinmahintarayudyayamahadiloponoparatanarajthaniburiromudomrajniwesmahasatarnamornpimarnavatarsatitsakattiyavisanukamphrasit

  • im not racist its proved

  • what?

why are you talking about not being racist?

That's the English translation for Bangkok.

  • well guess what im scottish

  • SO AM I!!

    you don't make sense.

  • well guess what im thai and scottish

  • Guess what, I'm Afghani, and moved to England when I was 7.

  • That's Thai, not Chinese. It's the official name of Bangkok, currently famous for being where David Carradine just died under peculiar circumstances. Anyway, in both the Welsh and Thai cases, what we really have are names that are compound expressions that in fact include multiple long descriptive phrases. They may be orthographically single words, but aren't really simple place names, but multiword constructions.

  • don't you mean thailand?

  • The Guiness Book of Records says Bangkok has the longest place name in the world, with about 190 letters, depending on the transliteration:

Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit

  • It is not the longest place name in the world.. It is "Krung Thep" another name for Bangkok.. Search for "Krung Thep full name" on google. it is 167 letters..

  • haha these chicks are funny.

    Thanks girls!!

  • that was close

  • actually she prounced it perfectly

  • For a drunk chick she said it pretty well.

  • I didnt know there was commas in it...

And I'm a welsh lil chick..

    Hmmm...

    Hehe..

    ..x..

  • what eva in new zealand

  • it is in wales its called Llanfair,Pwllgwyngyll,Gogeryll,Llyndrobwyn,Llantiseilio,GoGoGoch

  • That's slightly misspelt. I don't know about the commas and stuff do separate the words (because I don't speak welsh), but without the commas it's Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. But it's not the longest place name in the world, that's in New Zealand and it's called "Taumata whakatangi hangakoauau o tamatea turi pukakapiki maunga horo nuku pokai whenua kitanatahu".

  • the best part of the one in new zealnd is the meaning - "The summit where Tamatea (the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about) played his nose flute to his loved one"

  • Actually the longest place name in the world is the capital of Thailand English speakers know it as Bangkok but it is actually กรุงเทพมหานคร อมรรัตนโกสินทร์ มหินทรายุธยามหาดิลก ภพนพรัตน์ ราชธานีบุรีรมย์ อุดมราชนิเวศน์ มหาสถาน อมรพิมาน อวตารสถิต สักกะทัตติยะ วิษณุกรรมประสิทธิ์

  • yea i'm pretty sure bangkok has the longest name also..english : Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit
