Almost seems like an SNL skit. I like her very much, though.. I may not be wild for her style of music, but her voice is just gorgeous, and she is a very strong woman. sorry luxclassical, dont agree, theres this very disturbing trend nowadays to make all people somehow" both sexes!!!" we are not both sexes, there are men and women and people who are, unfortunately born with dual genitals, but please, why do boys have to look like girls? where have all the "normal" men gone?? now they wear make up and slides and hairbands and ponytails with ribbons.....hello!!!!! where will this all end? i like a man to be a man, whats wrong with that??

@Pussycatfeathers sorry but make up is NOT only for girls, where is written that is only for woman? The problem is the society. Society tells you that make up or ponytails are for woman but are esterotipes. And if you don't believe me, go to the ancient egypt, and you'll see man with make up (as in the XVIII century) and eyeliner. Just estereotipes.
A man who put on makeup is still a man because he has a male reproductive organ.

I love Celine! "She works hard for the money!" Heck yeah, she does. She is just amazing, and I adore everything about her, her personality, her voice, her looks. She's a wonderful person, and it's great she stood up for her son like that. Ellen went a bit far with her comment.

People, she is from Quebec, She speaks french. She has to translate everything to english in an interview. If you know anything about how french relates to english, it doesn't translate exactly. It sounds stilted. And That's the Way it Is~~~. You can't criticize her for her language skills. Go see her movie. If you don't respect her for her genuine kindness, you aren't getting it.

She is a french speaker trying to relate what she is thinking in english. Geesh. Get over yourself. I defy you to learn french and then try to conduct and interview in French and sound like someone who is intelligent and eloquent. We'll see how well you fare.

yeah she seems nice, but she needs to pick better ways to answer questions. sentences too long. Ellen seemed bored and frustrated at times. I'd rather just hear her sing.

I think Celine is such a sweet person, but yes, she seems simple-minded and melodramatic whenever she does interviews- whether its her real self I dunno, but that is ok, no one is perfect. I think God is wise in what gifts he gives people. In Celine, if she had been an Einstein, who knows what kind of a megalomaniac or tortured type of artist she could have become, or maybe just a completely arrogant snot. Instead she seems simple & good-natured. I just want her to be healthy and keep singing.

I'm sure Celine didn't hate being there. She was just sick of the comments about her sons hair, it must have been the millionth time she had been asked why she didn't cut it. Plus, she was on the Ellen show in 2004 so she wouldn't have gone back on if she didn't like Ellen or didn't like the show or whatever.

Almost seems like an SNL skit. I like her very much, though.. I may not be wild for her style of music, but her voice is just gorgeous, and she is a very strong woman. A diva deluxe, but also kind of down to earth. It's true that she and Ellen don't click as much as she and Oprah did, but a nice interview nonetheless.

I saw a picture of René-Charles with shorter hair, I'm sure you could find the picture on Google or something. In fact there was no big difference, he is not the most beautiful kid ever, but he has very beautiful eyes.

I don't know much about Dion, and didn't realise that she is a native Canadian-French speaker, but l agree about her humour.Most of it is ironic, and is completely missed by a US audience.
Listening to her negotiationg with René-Charles leads me to think that she will be living in more 'interesting times' when he goes through adolescence ;-)
