  • i really do i am in love with all the cutie-pie 90s girls in this vid.

  • Young musicians are more competitive with each other than athletes.

  • Damn...I was getting really into it until that bleep at 3:53. What a buzzkill.

  • on second thought, start with "the porpoise and the handgrenade"

  • anyone who hates pavement should listen to "5-4=Unity"

    then they won't hate them

  • @DigitalBoyTV really?

    out of all songs

not denying its a good song but not a good entry song

  • @10TJ10 agree. Gold soundz was my entry song.

  • the beep scared me

  • makes me cry that there are any dislikes to such beautiful song

  • @cinilaknedalm shut up bitch

  • @2666ification LOL whats up with you attention queen, trying to get seen by being a cunt? youre on the right track

  • bleeped!

  • God! Were the 90`s even real ? Sooooooo good memories that it hurts to think they are gone....

  • God, stop comparing these bands. Is there something wrong about liking Pavement, Stone Temple Pilots AND The Smashing Pumpkins? I think not.

  • yet i like it

  • like 80's music post grunge lol

  • Oh, to be in that crowd.

  • Why can't everyone just get along.. I like Billy Corgan and Stephen Malkmus.. so why can't they just like each other too.

  • some of the best sets of lyrics in here!!

and I love the length too- it goes for just the right amount of time

  • 3:54 "And I could really give a FUCK!"

  • Jonny Greenwood at 2:41

  • I love the bucket hat guy

  • What the bleep, next time I'm watching this video I'll turn down the volume at the bleep part!

  • I remember being so torn back in the day because I loved Pavement but Smashing Pumpkins was my favorite band... Pavement was more fun live back then though!

  • i wish i had liked pavement in the 90s!

  • Hit 7 to see a skinny 14 year old matt damon in shades

  • the F#m kills me, but I LOVE this song!

  • I love this song. I feel 15 all over again when listening to it.

  • the first time I see their faces -_-, it wsa funny song in the nineties, but you get older then :D

  • you may like this song only if you listen it for million times. boring

  • @heydude1987 You are a foxy man!

  • pavement ist rad

  • 3.26 Justin Beiber hasn't aged a day

  • @SWAGONMYTITTIES He looks more like Matt Damon.

  • where can i listen to the unbleeped version?

  • every time i hear this version in youtube i totally forget about the bleep.

so it's as annoying as the firts time every time i hear it

  • Why don't they like Stone Temple Pilots?

  • Comment removed

  • its total bull bleep

  • seriously, you bleeped out fuck?

    jesus

  • Best US band of their generation

  • @fastladyuk US band... perhaps. But one could argue Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, and Pixies (though most of their work was in the 80's). And I personally would argue Dismemberment Plan simply just for their last two albums which are mind blowing!

  • Pavement's my favorite of all-time (not counting the Beatles) but Gish and Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins are phenemonal recored. I hardly understand a word Corgan says and I don't care either because it sounds great (at least those albums).

I hardly understand a word Malkmus says and I don't give a fuck about that either because it's brilliant.

  • this song doesnt even diss smashing pumpkins.. people are too stupid

  • @eatmyfun

You're right. Billy C still takes every opportunity to take swipes at Pavement...he needs to chill out.

  • Don't worry, we're in no hurry!

  • This is my side one of that record they make your ashes into.

  • "And I'd rather give a BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP"

  • @CaradocMorDellOboe no, it's "like i really give a BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP"

  • In Britain they're called 'Road Surface'

  • @pr0dd2k9 LOL

  • @pr0dd2k9 In Ireland we call them "footpath"

  • who bleeps the word "hell"? ????

  • in america they're called sidewalk

  • The girl who appear in the start of the video is pretty gorgeous :)

  • 3:39 - I too would like to eat fruit in front of Oasis backstage door :D

  • Billy Corgan and Scott Weiland voted negative.

  • @pedestrianwalker and Rivers Cuomo

  • @pedestrianwalker ha ha ...that's awesome!!!!

  • @pedestrianwalker queers

  • @pedestrianwalker mmm why those two would do that??

  • 0:42 - Reading festival?

  • smashing pumpkins are one of my favorite bands, but this song does not piss me off in the slightest.

  • @dietspritezero I know right? its too carefree in the sound to really take it that way.

  • goddamn it stfu both bands made good music who really cares if corgan was a perfectionist

  • yeah! this one band that I like is ::better:: than this other band that some other people that are not me like! yeah!

  • This is my absolute favorite band in the world and nothing will ever change that.

  • this bands very good but this song kinda pisses me off because of their bratty little remarks about stone temple pilots and smashing pumpkins its a little pathetic that there taking swings at true artists of their genre it just kinda reminds me of little frat boys that think there better then everyone else other than that I have no complaints on this song

  • @zorgono Thats bullshit he wasn't taking swings at them, he was merely saying that he never understood the popularity of the bands. And besides, Billy Corgan was a huge asshole so who cares anyway. Fuck the pumpkins.

  • @dnon75 You can try to assume what he was saying but im taking it for face value

  • @zorgono You have to think about the fact that Pavement was not a very popular band at that point. They were very much small time. He probably never thought anyone would pay attention to that lyric or even hear it at all.

  • @dnon75 but they did hear the lyric so it does seem as though corgan cared about underground music, and im just wondering have you ever spoke to Billy corgan yourself because if you have not how would you know that he is an asshole

  • @zorgono How about the fact that Corgan used to kick people out of his band at his will and recorded all of their songs himself without any input from the other members. I think that constitutes a douche.

  • @dnon75 it sure does and fame gets to the head but the music will be there forever people will always remember them

  • @dnon75 Corgan thinks he's Prince.

  • @zorgono pavement is a million times better than those bands

  • @tgodd yeah if you like mediocracy and unoriginality

  • @zorgono

That's basically the Pumpkins in a nutshell.

    And it's mediocrity. Troll.

  • @mrfudgeyhead could care less about the pumkins but STP can blow these guys away

  • @zorgono STP do blow.

  • @IamNowJMAN STP is on a whole different level of music than these jokes, seriously no self respecting band lashes out at another

  • @zorgono STP were the jokes, with their silly fake grunge aesthetics and lame alt-arena rock bullshit. They were an even shittier version of Pearl Jam.

  • @IamNowJMAN If you actually knew anything about music at all you would know that STP have a unique sound different then any of the "grunge" bands of the 90s. I can admit that their first album Core sounded a little like pearl jam. But you obviously havent listened to tiny music songs from the vatican gift shop or anything after that or you would know that STP has a unique and amazing sound. Something Pearl Jam or Pavement can't say for themselves.

  • @zorgono or maybe we were there and did and wish we hadn't....

  • @brek5 or maybe (which is the more likely one) you havent litened to it and don't know what im talking about

  • @zorgono their actually all cool. So shut up pansy.

  • @chrisothoulos they're perfect what are you talking about

  • This is the best song by Pavement. I've been listening to everything they made non-stop for two years (since I found out about them), and I can say with utmost certainty that this is their masterpiece.

  • @Nuckatron The way I felt when I first heard "Summer Babe" can't be described. I knew then and there that the times they were a changin'. "Crooked Rain" is the best sophmore effort of any band ever - EVER! "Range Life" was the jewel.

  • Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain ♥

  • Nothing better than being on a high dose of Pavement.

  • Bleeping awesome song! I am bleeping bleeped off that Domino Records didn't upload the version without this bleeping annoying bleep. Who's bleeping with me!

  • @heirofsorrows bleep!

  • @heirofsorrows fuck yeah

  • awesome!!!!!

  • I love this song more than all their others.

  • I'm glad that somebody put this video in a better quality of image. This one is one of the best Pavement's song...on a tour with the Smashing Pumkins, nature kid they dont have a function, i don't understand what they mean i could really give a FUCK' this line really pissed Billy Corgan. Anyway, what's up with giving oranges in the mouths?

  • bleeped out!?

  • Comment removed
