  • thats massive, in case you were wondering i pinned you :)

  • Thanks, and some Big Golden trevally alright, we get some good fish on the Reef,

    can't complain,

    Cheers Greg

  • is that there stomacks coming out of there mouths

  • No, Golden trevally don't have teeth, but a big extendable mouth with big blubbler type lips,

    Cheers Greg

  • Any concerns about releasing a gaffed fish? Seems kinda questionable to me. Maybe a net with knot-less mesh would be a better option.

  • The decky didn't know we were going to release them, normally I would gaff more in the mouth. They were only minor gaffed and should be no problems, They're pretty tough fish and were quickly released

    Cheers Greg

  • I really would come, but it's a little bit hard becouse i'm just 15 and i live in Finland :))

  • No worries, one day, well worth a trip down under. The Great Barrier Reef is pretty amazing,

    Cheers Greg

  • Why are you "stabbing" them if you release them after

  • Normally with bigger fish, you would gaff in the mouth, these fish only had minor injuries from the Gaff and would be fine. They swum away strongly, although are good eating, would prefer to let go,

    Cheers Greg

  • I understand, thank you for ansering my question

  • Nice video and some very nice fish

  • Some big goldens, some of the biggest I've caught, and tuff fish, great to release,

    Cheers Greg

  • Nice fishing guys! i've watched all of your videos and i love them! keep going! It would be my dream come true to go fishing with you guys!

  • Thanks, we are spoilt off Mackay and the Great Barrier Reef, welcome anytime,

    Cheers Greg

  • Great Fishing!, i'm heading to Mackay soon, just wondering roughly how far the reef is from the ramp.

  • Big distances off Mackay, Parker reef is 45 Nautical miles, not the best fishing, Credlin Reef at 50 nm, and Stevens 55nm, The further you go the better but these reefs are the most popular as well. The islands are Keswick 15nm, to Scawfell 25 nm, fishing is OK, but local experience does help,

    Cheers Greg
