  • OMG I LOVE THIS SONG! Everything about it!

  • Isn't she wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mor karbasi version is amazing

  • merci,merci à israel d'exister...donne espoir en l'humanité!!!

  • ללא ספק אחת מהענקיות שקמו לזמר הישראלי..לא מתעייפת מלשמוע את הזמיר היפה והענוג הזה

  • Sweetest Voice

  • I have loved Esther and her voice since the early 70s when they had their own show on English t.v. Being of Eastern Med. origin myself, I really admire singers who can throw their voices every which way. Beautiful voice, haunting song.

  • Great song. Great singer.

Both Ofra and Esther's versions are superb.

but Ofra had a voice which is 1/100,000,000. in addition, she had that heavenly voice only at youth .when she got older her voice changed. it stayed marvelous but not as it was when she was younger.

  • מדהים

  • איזה שיר יא אללה חייב לחדש אותו ... אני כבר מתחיל לעבוד !

  • מחפש זמרת?

  • A great and wonderful Ivrit/Hebrew/Israeli song and melody! It's to fall in love with ...

I know both versions, Ofra Haza's and Esther Ofarim's; I know both singers very well (acustically ;:-).

Though that's no competition here, I put all the both to my Favorites & Play list ...

I slightly prefer Esther Ofarim's version; but I can't really say why. I own, up from a longplay record, a clean and fine longer version which I want to upload here for you soon.

    Good-bye, and enjoy! (Dhibannour)

  • First i heard Ofra Haza preforming this song, but Esther sings it also very beautiful.

  • אסתר המלכה ! פשוט מדהימה... הגרסה הטובה ביותר של השיר לטעמי... אפשר לשמוע את השיר הזה בביצוע שלה ללא הפסקה...

  • נכון :)

  • קול של מלאך.

  • Chosen People are all very very beautiful and blessed for G-D.

    Shalom!

  • she is amazing! such a mystic voice and a pretty person..

  • the best performance of this song belongs to her.such a voice.....

  • agree

  • איזה קול - נהדר

  • I heard this song in 1973 and haven't heard it since, but NEVER forgot it. Thank you for posting it.

  • Magnifique chant, merveilleuse voix. bravo

  • Beautiful!

  • I love both versions of this song just as much as I love both Ofra and Esther. They touch my sephardic soul.

  • Touch any Jewish soul, sefaradi, Ashkenazi or whatever. It is the Jewish soul that vibrates with excitement and joy.

  • Make that any human soul. Ofra and Esther are simply beyond amazing

    From a none-Jewish Yemeni :)

    Shalom

  • Agree with you. Shalom-Salaam

  • i love both too !!!! Ofra and Esther , they sing with the heart ..

  • Esther Ofarim- Hamalka! The Queen of Israeli Music of all times!

Nobody had such a voice, full of depths and like a singing-bird-both!

    Where are you, Esther?

We miss you so much here in Israel...

  • I love Ofra Haza but I would say that Esther's version is better. Maybe it's just because it's the original, but here we have a mature singer and Ofra was very young at the time she performed this song.

  • Both are the Best.

    LONG LIVE ISRAELI.

  • Does anyone have the Ladino lyrics for this song? I can't find them anywhere! Please help!

Btw, my favorite version is by Glikeria.

  • The answer is just above your massage... morenica me llaman - put in on a Google search

  • There are different versions. In some, a single verse matches, in some only a line. I already went through all those i found, and assembled what seems to be closest to the Hebrew words, but i'm not certain it's correct.

  • @CrawlingMeower I refer to a comment you made 2 years ago about Glykeria singing your favourite version of Secharchoret. I have been searching for this on You Tube but no luck yet. Please advise where you heard it. Many thanks.

  • @MEDSEC20 I got it from eMule. Enter גליקריה שחרחורת and, sooner or later, you'll find it, though the download may take a long time due to the scarcity of sources.

  • @CrawlingMeower Thank you. Dont have Hebrew on my keyboard unfortunately - anything English I can try?

  • @MEDSEC20 just copy and paste the words גליקריה שחרחורת into eMule's search line. That should work.

  • @CrawlingMeower Morena me llaman, blanca yo naci', morena me llaman, blanca yo naci'. de pasear ganado mi color perdi'. But the melody is nothing like this version.

  • morenica me llaman, blanca yo naci...

    Beutiful song...

  • Esther Ofarim overtops all versions existing by various singers, thank you for posting this song WoW

  • i disagree ,the best version of the song

    has to be ofra haza

  • hehe, but Ofra breathes ;) I totally agree with swissdolphin.

  • What suprises me most about Ofra, is that she was all about 18-19 yrs old when she sang the song of Sh'Charchorat, actually even b4 she had any rec. produced, whereas Esther..

  • Esther was Ofra's Idol. Everyone knows that.

  • very nice.. gives me goosebumps the way she sings.

  • ממתק

  • I am looking for another version of this song. the singer was galit giat, and she sing it in LADINO, in tzika hadar tv program named: lo nafsik lashir.

  • Thank you for posting this great song...
