I'm not sure if anyone already said this, but in my opinion, if you spend all that money on a 3G capable phone, why would you turn it off? it's true it's a battery consumer but if you are that concerned about battery life you find another device. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm a Apple fan myself :P .
