Goldeneye: Source Beta 3

It's about hit detection and bullet spray.

With an AR33 (Goldeneye name for M16), you can kill someone with 3 bullets. No need to use the crosshair, it will just ruin everything :)

2 Bullets to the chest and one to the head, and your enemy is DEAD. I'll make a video about how to use weapons, its gonna be better for everyone to know how to use them :)

What a bullshit game.

You shoot someone 25 times with a rifle, they shoot you 3 times and you die.

You shoot someone with an M16 mag in the back of the head, they turn around shoot a little peashooter, and 3 rounds later, you die..

oh my god .... i thouth this was good but .. ok its 90% good only one thing You have to fking SPRAY to get something killed and sometimes 2 mags, ok way to much ... even regular mode on cod4 makes me hit my cat xD lucky me for hardcore

Here are my guesses for the inconsistencies: The bullet impact sounds, the explosion sounds,  the ladder climbing sounds, the ragdoll collision sounds, and the "whoosh" sounds for the fists.

shiiiiiiiiiit, this is awesome. the guns are much better. but its soo much slower than beta 1, they just took out crouch hopping which was about 50% of the metagame :/. and you don't have to lead anymore. which means any idjit can hit someone, and i can't get a 30 kill spree with a DD44 anymore.

when you play this game, you should go to WNx servers, or at least dedicated servers so you don't get shitty loadouts. obviously.

the glass breaking sound and the exploding shit,wood breaking,hitting mettal,shooting walls and floors, landing from falling or jumping are all the ones i heard xD

they seemed to have gotten a lot right except it being any good. The levels and skins looked ok the music made me feel a bit nostalgic but if this is multiplayer only I'll pass because it didn't look that fun watching you play it way too fast and chaotic to where old school goleney was A LOT slower compared to this. Was paintball mode on by default? And it's odd how they have the old aiming reticule nice touch but they should get rid of it.

TKKN's got it. I think that's the problem I have with it. It's too fast.

That and most of the technical problems (taking several bullets to kill somebody, for instance)

it seems like you dont like it from what you said. keep in mind, BETA. but its hard to revive a TRUE classic (not thats its ALL dead...)

Well, I'm being hard on it because it's had 3 betas over a course of several years, several team changes, a death of the team's leader... And all they churn out is a mediocre HL2:DM mod.

I've seen similar mods like Fistful of Frags and Dystopia made in the same amount of time and they don't even resemble anything from HL2.

it might just be me, but from this vid i dont see too much from from HL2DM (yes i do own it and play it.) but i havent played the other mods u mentioned. i prefer stuff like insurgency. but hey, nothing can beat the original Goldeneye.

Well I liked the other version of goldeneye source Im not going to try it anytime soon thought just if I get real bored one day and have absoultly nothing to do.Sorry if my comment did not say what I thought it ment.
