If the kids like pineapple/banana flavor, then they'd like this! The fruit juice makes it sweeter, wonder if you could just toss in a stevia packet to sub that? Good looking stuff, thanks for showing it!
@charley388 If you have kids you know that if it didn't taste good their faces would sour the second it hit their tongue! I don't expect the poster to follow her kids around documenting their reactions. None f the kids seemed to be faking to me.
It's a good thing I got mines from the vitamix site then Lol!! I did get the 3 flex pay, I recieved my vitamix 3 weeks ago, I love it! Thanks for responding!
Does it have an eggy taste from the use of raw eggs? Just asking as the smell and taste if detectable makes me throw up. I was thinking tofu could also be used to make it thick. very nice video, gotta save up for a vita mix now.
@ndufcat When it is blended I don't taste or smell anything. Tofu would be excellent in place of the egg. Of course you can leave the egg out completely - it was just a way of adding extra protein. You could also add chia seeds to add extra protein, and texture. If you decide to purchase a Vitamix - please consider ordering through me :-) All contact information is on my VitamixLady website
@agapemom I agree. I don't know how old you guys are, but you both are a very attractive couple, but you still look like REAL people. I'm saving my pennies for a vitamix now (been flipping back and forth between vitamix and blendtec. Your video is so much more powerful than all the fast-talking professionals making a feast in the test kitchens. Thanks!
@bintasyllah thank you so much for the compliments! Please consider ordering from me when you are ready :-) My contact information is on my VitamixLady website.
@bintasyllah they have them at qvc right now for 363.00! 5 easy payments, i was telling everybody all day!! 5 year warranty and free shipping and handling too!
@sonebone7 - did you know that the QVC machines don't have soft grip handles or controls and that a refurbished Vitamix is always available (unlike QVC one-day events) for $379 with the FULL 7-YEAR warranty and you can do a 3-payment plan with half plus a $15 service fee the first month and the other half divided between the next two months? My contact information is on my VitamixLady website
@glogirl7099 did you ever decide between the Vitamix and Blendtec? It is hard to find the information on the Internet, but the Blentec's top blade speed is 28,000 RPMs while the Vitamix's is 37,000 RPMs. That extra 9,000 RPMs makes a big difference in how hot the soups get and how "smooth" the ice cream gets.
Thanks, I've done some research and have decided to save up for a vita-mix, because of the RPM's, warranty, and overall quality of the blender. For now I'm using an Oster Fusion and it takes forever to make a good green smoothie with it.
@glogirl7099 also, the lowest blade speed on a Blendtec is 10,000 RPMs while the Vitamix goes all of the way down to 1,000 RPMs! This allows you to easily use the Vitamix as a food processor and as a mixer (I make all of my batters - cake, pancake - brownie - muffin - etc.) in the VM. I chop veggies for salads, make salsa, cole slaw, hash browns, etc. at the very slow speed...
Looks great! I've been searching the internet for a blueberry cheesecake ice cream someone made at a costco vita mix show the other day (had carrots and cabbage in it). Not having any luck, but it was amazing!
The vitermix is realy good im 13 and tage alomg wiv garry mums bf to irland to do some shows (dems) it tast realy realy dood and es u can make cilli outs it u can make red ot suop frozen ice cream smooothies face maskes and ev its GREAT
There were some "film production" issues between making the ice cream and the filming of "Part 2".
The most frozen you can make ice cream in a VitaMix is the consistency of soft-serve ice cream.
Sometimes I put it into the freezer for a little bit of additional freezing, but if you leave it in too long it will end up with a popsicle consistency.
LOL, I'd love to hear that "long story"! Feel free to send me an e-mail or even call sometime! I feel a "kindred spiritedness" with anyone who would try to make anything with baby carrots, broccoli, cabbage and ice!
Wow!!! It past all four judges! It must be some good stuff!!! Again...wow! I know the little ones can be the most pickiest...and the little guy gave it his little thumbs up. Cute cute cute!
I'm still trying to figure out though if a Vita mix is really worth the investment opposed to a regular blender. Maybe it just makes everything really smoother.
Yes, it makes things smoother, but it also breaks raw foods down to the cellular level, makes healthy nut butters, chemical-free ice creams, works as a food processor for things like coleslaw, chicken for chicken salad, carrots, celery, onions, nuts, etc.
It has the fastest blade spin on the market (37,000 RPMs) which makes it possible to use the machine as a juicer (but you liquefy the pulp and fiber instead of throwing it away).
It also has variable speed control which means you can also use it at a lower speed like a regular blender (10,000 RPMs) or you can even go as low as 80 RPMs and use the machine like a food processor!
Well definitely thanks for the all the info. My green smoothies taste good, but have pieces of the collard greens or spinach that I sometimes I have to chew. So I would like to get something that would liquify them. So is the vitamix the equivalent of these 3HP blenders everyone talks about?
Hey, I'm like you... I made my Green Smoothies in a "regular" blender for three months before I got my Vita-Mix (I was on my second blender). I too "chewed" through little bits of collard greens, kale, parsley, etc. You won't believe the difference once you make your Green Smoothies in your Vita-Mix machine!
Yes, the Vita-Mix is not only equivalent... it is superior. There is a 3HP machine (Vita-Mix has a 2peak HP motor), but it is not the HP that matters... it is the speed of the blades that liquefies the pulp and fiber. No one has a "blade tip speed" faster than Vita-Mix's 37,000 RPMs.
Hi, I have the 5000 and I'm not going to upgrade because I already have it and the 5200 is mostly cosmetic changes.
I can say, however, after using the 5200 at my Road Shows, if I were starting from scratch, I would get the 5200, it's not that much more expensive than the 5000 and I like the new lid!
Thank you very much! My poor kids never REALLY know all of what's in the fruit smoothies I give them!
Recently, they have fallen in love with the Lemon Ice recipe they found in my Vita-Mix recipe book. That recipe calls for 1/3 a cup of sugar... I just replace that with about a half a cup of dates (that I have pre-soaked in water) and then I add a couple of frozen strawberries to make it a pink lemonade (which hides the tan color that the dates make)
LOL You passed the test ;) I can't wait to get mine and test it :) Looks good :) thanks for sharing!!!

Ah, I've been trying to decide between whether to invest in a Vitamix or Blendtec. Both seem like very good blenders, so I'm a little confused.
