FYI. The CMD STUDIO 4A is priced at $199 if anyone is interested. I wrote them on Facebook and they got back to me in less than ten minutes. That kind of pricing AND customer service is impossible to find these days. I'll definitely be getting this. Unfortuneatly - DJTT fails to mention that there is a FULL pitch fader, not the tiny ones. It's got 8 cue points and this thing is just a beast. For $200 - You can't find ANYTHING better. They've got my loyalty now.
@1Thatsamazing It's a midi controller so it can do whatever you want it to do. Gotta remember that with controllers you can map anything to anything :P
The LC-1 and DVS-1 seems like it would be a nice complement to Maschine when/if MIDI mapping is possible. Providing N-I finally opens Maschine up to fully implement MIDI in/out/cc. At $99 it's not as heavy of an investment as say an Ohm64 rgb, etc....I'm in!
... if its for beginners then why would there be anything special? you make it sound like its crap and that even a beginner shouldnt buy so now im confused
@MrRidisc I wouldn't be surprised if Behringer partnered up with Bitwig and shipped an entry level copy of Bitwig with their controllers. Would be win-win.
I really want someone to come out with a Pioneer CDJ size wheel for an all in one controller....but maybe it wont happen since the whole idea of the all in ones is to save size...thats like askin for a 17 inch mac book air
@priyonjoni Fortunately that's changing. These CMD's have a lot more real estate on their controller area than any other controller I've seen so far, which makes them a lot more solid and a lot less prone to accidents when you're actually at a gig and not just DJ'ing at home.
I do support the idea of having a full CDJ-1000 sized controller for a single deck though, but slapping two of these CMD's together will give you the same.
@Stoney3K I understand, size is an issue with controllers but for us who scratch, the smaller the wheel, the less comfortable it is to scratch, 7 inch is the ergonomic threshold.
@priyonjoni True, although I would personally not be comfortable with scratching on a digital system anyway, since it will always have some processing latency from your platter inputs to the output.
@Stoney3K there is, but kinda have to deal with it and compensate, check out my videos on my page, some nights i do straight cdj no computer, other nights i use timecode which is the most latent form of playback; to only mix with no tricks is kinda status quo.
Considering the price, this is really interesting. Note, I'm an Ableton-user (excited about Bitwig though), so traditional DJ-esque control isn't really all that for me.
Logically, I fell a little in love with th the LC-1. Although I have a couple of Launchpads, I'm already imagining ways to make it work well with how I usually do my gigs.
With the price, I'm drooling over the PL-1. I've long fantasized over effect-control with a jogwheel. Now with the PL-1, that's a cheap option for me.
To be honest, I really didnt think Behringer was going to last this long in the business. Gotta give it to them, their trying their best to stay in the game.
Ridiculous price

It's not the best, but for that price you don't care. Never thought I would own something from Behringer and especially for extending my Kontrol S4.
