NASA is a big money burning black hole .. if we actually landed on the moon in 1969 ... and a couple times in the early 70's .. WHY WOULDNT WE SEND A REMOTE CONTROLLED ROVER TO THE MOON BEFORE SENDING ONE TO MARS ??????
I would support it no doubt. It doesn't cost each taxpayer much if you think of it for something as interesting as doing what humans want to do naturally which is to explore what we are curious about, and nothing beats space. The bottom line is that too much is spent on bad on this planet, and not on good. I wish we WOULD have a serous threat from space, like an astroid or alien's just so people would focus on what may really be out there! And people may diagree, but never for the right reason!
The problem is that NASA seems to like to work on one project one at a time... So they send a probe to Saturn, they look at it for 5 years, and then start working on something else to go to, say, Septune. Well, if they had worked on that and sent it at the same time as the cassini huygens spacecraft, it would be there by now...
I would support it. But, it wont be just that easy. I think that if we can successfully unite the countries of the world, we can raise our priority on space exploration. The government is spending "trillions" of dollars on the war, when we could drastically make improvements in the space program with a portion of that. Not to mention where we could get as worldwide, united raced. It WILL have to happen and soon if we want to explore and expand in the universe.

It should be up to the government to probe and manipulate your brain, via CIA, then, find frontiers for the younger generation.

its a pretty sincere question, but it shouldn't be up to the government exclusively in my opinion.
