You have the ability to move the twiner far away from the stationary holder in order to make almost any length rope without any messy splices in it. I know that this must have been at a "Founder's Day" event or local turn of the century demonstration of how rope was made before nylon was invented. However, try using PLARN, plastic yarn spun from used plastic bags, and see the type of rope you are able to create. I have and it is really strong.
