Half life 2's music is great, but i honestly think it is horribly timed in the game. This was the only one that wsa timed greatly.

Im starting to think the problem with the music in HL2 is not the timing, but the fact that in Hl2, the music is easily drowned out by simple gunshots, but the music drowns out a lot of the dialog. In portal 2, they somehow scaled the music perfectly so its never quite drowned out, but also never drowns anything out.

That hospital part was an AWESOME part. It was a MADHOUSE though: Antlions, Combine (regular tier and the ones in the white suits), zombies, it was insane! I felt like I was in an action movie. The music only added to the atmosphere.

@zodieman1 firstly gman re-activated the bomb in a game by gearbox, this game was not made by valve and thus is not canon with regards to the story, secondly I wouldnt go so far as to say g-man helps gordon in hl2, what does he do that directly aids the player?

@Crebralassassin Gman re-activated the bomb because he was doing something for the greater good (getting rid of the xenians on earth) and he was not doing it because he wanted to kill adrian shepard, he was trying to help him ( he also saves adrian's life 2 times) he saves and guides everyone his employers take interest in so that they can be used for something big his employers are planning, thus his interest in gordon and adrian. He also made sure that alex and barney made it out of black mesa
