Agree with other posters. Fracci is PERFECTION; Bruhn is like, "Oh well, that's over, whatever." And yes, camerawork is dizzy-ing, but it's an interesting idea that not only is Giselle heart-broken, she has visions of her impending afterlife as a Wili and she is terrified.
Haha, I saw this recorded ballet with Fracci and Bruhn when I was 6 years old, and I couldnt' understand why Giselle wanted prince Albrecht, I really thought he was such a loser compared to Hilarion. And I still think that xD

¿Alguien podría decirme que pasó con la versión completa del American Ballet Theatre? Estaba dividida en 10 fragmentos y era maravilloso poder ver esta versión enterita, siendo una de las mejores. La Fracci, assoluta. Bruhn, guau. Pero la verdad, a mi me fascina el que interpreta a Hilarión. Es un hombre de gran belleza mediterránea.

si tu lo tienes el dvd de 'giselle'no es ni de espana ni de sudamerica. el dvd que yo tengo es de deutsche grammophon, hamburg..manufactured and marketed by universal classics group,distributd by universal music and video..mi copia es en ntsc el sistema norte americano ..no es posible ver pal o secam si tu no tienes un 'lector'(?) especial..perdona mi espanol..otra version muy buena es giselle con fracci y nureyev teatro del opera de roma 1980..todavia esta es la mejor..

Hilarion esta magnificamente interpretado por Bruce Marks, de hecho es la mejor caracterizacion de Hilarion que he visto, varonil, pasional, desesperada. El es el marido de Toni Lander (RIP), que interpreto a Myrtha en una soberbia, imponente e inolvidable rendicion.
i have this dvd , it makes me cry when giselle was betrayed and die.. whe she turned to willy and still protect her lover , it makes me cry even more.. she is the best giselle ever
There is NO Giselle like Fracci. She is supremely beautiful...she is not dancing Giselle, she is Giselle dancing! I get goosebumps just watching her video...everyone should see this entire DVD!
@ballerinette1 . Sorry, but the DVD was simply dreadful. The director of photography should be condemned to the nastiest region of hell for ruining what could have been a fine work of art.
think this video is only to show mimical expressions but not the dance because this is a very dramatic scene in the act where face and body language is very important
