Ive not seen the Australian version, only clips. But ive seen both the London and Broadway versions and I would have to say the NY version is better. There are quite a few differences with many scenes. I dont know if I would say that the NY cast are better than the London or Oz casts though. I have seen Olly Taylor perform and his ballet was amazing! Corey Snide was also a phenominial dancer, And of course Liam Mower. Acting and singing also play a part. I dont know if there is a "best" Billy.
you lot should see billy elliot in the original city it came out in LONDON. they do the accent the best because some of the billies are from newcastle or already can do a decent newcastle accent and the billies are much better in london

I am only judging by the clips here, (and I've watched them each several times) but if this is any indication, the American Billys have taken it to a new level. They are DEFINITELY better singers than the original London lads, much more expressive in interpreting the lyrics (particularly true of David Alvarez), and their dancing is superb!
The original boys were good, but these boys are GREAT!

No, these are the new Broadway Billies. However, Trent Kowalik, the one on the far right at the beginning, has also been in the London production.
