  • Cool pickup man. Yeah I'm sure it is rare on PAL, it's rare on in the US too. The piano is a really cool add on.

  • It's a pretty good idea shame it seemed to die a death on the NES with no follow up.

  • Cool find man.. Gamester81 did a review of the actual piano.. and I think it's sweet! It's a life-sized piano unlike the tiny famicom version I had which was intended for kids :P The famicom version, although does trigger the sound from the famicom directly, does have a few drawbacks... hmm i hope to make a video on it soon :P Will you be getting the actual piano? :D

  • Probably won't be able to get the piano from what I've seen it costs as much as a PS3!

  • So the reason it's rare is cause it's a pal ver?I think the jap came with an actuall mini piano that hook up to the nes

  • Yep seems that way. The US and UK versions came with a proper sized black keyboard.

  • I'm going to keep an eye on the auction to see if anyone is mad enough to pay so much for it!

  • will give you 50 quid for the carpet......lol

  • is this the same as the one phatphunk recently got for the famicom?

  • I think so.

  • Now I feel sad. I saw this for... I think it would equal to £3 ?

Dont know about the UKV, but I think it was more common in the french-version.

Now, had you had THE PIANO with it, then I think we're talking big quids :)

  • I've seen the keyboard go for as much as £160 in the past, crazy money for a bit of plastic tat!

  • check out the wiki at:

    Miracle_Piano_Teaching_System

    the sad part is:

"The Miracle Piano did not ever generate sounds from the NES hardware; all NES MIDI information was converted into audio by the instrument's built-in ROM and played through the instrument's stereo speakers, allowing the keyboard to be used independently of the console."

    so that sucks....

  • I just wish I could actually do something with the pad. Seems a pretty good package if you have the right kit, interesting for a NES game.

  • Yeah the pal one is probably more rare, sad that you dont have the keyboard

  • Could be a treasure trove there, worth hanging onto. Yeh some Ebay sellers are clearly off there head, at least that what i think when i see some of the crazy prices. I remember seeing some Dreamcast game, i cant remember exactly which game, maybe HeadHunter or Sonic Adventure, some game you could clearly pick up for less than £10 and seller was selling it at £50 buy it now, was in mint condition, but still, crazy!

  • I think I'll keep hold of it for now see how the ebay auction goes. If some nut pays £130 on it it's being listed :p

  • Nice one matey - I'd definately keep hold - its something very different to the norm... :)

  • Didn't this use a keyboard peripheral?

  • Yep, huge thing.

  • I don't know what it's worth brother, but I'd probably hang onto it :)

  • keep it dude, it will be worth more in future - by law of capitalism lol

  • I hope so! The US version is really cheap and comes up often so I suspect it only had a very, very small release run in the UK makin git uber rare.

  • Cool, dude. I don't know anything about this, to be honest, but you might have a goldmine on your hands!

  • UKV? I knew someone who was collecting a complete UKV set. i wonder if they had this one?

  • I'm sure if they didn't they will be mad to miss out on this :p

  • definately a keeper mate!
