I'm hugely intimidated by the Opening of the Key spread, but I'm sure I'll get it one day. However, my first stumbling block seems to be the name of the thing. I know there are no accidental names when it comes to GD or A.'.A.'. etc, so I'm very curious: why is it the opening of the *key* itself and not the opening of the door/portal/something by means of a key?
@AnneloesF Its a good question - a key can open any door; you just have to choose the right one. The spread also opens doors to consciousness, used in the right way.
Nice! Very few people want to deal with "the opening of the keys", because it's a five step process, heavily involved and spanning hours. Also, the Tarot, as an esoteric tool embodies the whole of Hermetic/Rosicrucian philosohpy (WMT) in G.D. development. Most people want quick and dirty garden variety fortunetelling and don't understand the higher functions of the cards.
